  1. Yes to be honest. I've got 1x10 combos/tried 1x10 cabs, too boxy, not deep enough. I had a 4x10 but it just took up too much space and was overkill. I got hold of a very reasonably priced Ashdown 2x10 yesterday and it gives me a pretty close representation of what I can hear from the DI of amp, which is exactly what I wanted. My 1x10 doesn't manage this at all unfortunately and gives a totally different sound. I can also quite easily use this rig for smaller gigs too, but it perfectly fits under my desk (upright) so if it never leaves the house that's also fine! Thanks for the reply!
  2. Just read that they come in random colours and you can't pick, that's quite funny (also bit disappointing)
  3. Makes sense, that's what they suggest as a good starting point on their FAQs. Might have to give one a try, sounds like a very useful bit of kit. Thanks for the tip
  4. It's almost 2023 and people are still trying to avoid using Paypal G&S... Most groups I'm in these days ban you for trying to dodge it.
  5. Nice, where are you using that in your chain? Reading the FAQ's on their site now.
  6. <£300 if possible, Thanks for the info, it will be played at low-ish bedroom volumes so maybe I won't need something with a rating to match then
  7. I'm running my Ashdown EvoII 500 as my recording head on my desk at home I sold my 4x10 recently and would like to replace it with a 2x10 that could go under my desk, solely for practicing really. The amp is rated at: 500w RMS/1000w peak, 4ohms on speaker outs. Any suggestions for a good 2x10 cab to match? Had a little look around and I'm not seeing many options above around 350w. EDIT: I picked up a very reasonably priced Ashdown 2x10 cab yesterday, it does exactly what I wanted it to! Thanks for all the tips and responses

  11. Definitely use the manual! I spent the first year of owning my FI V1 just fiddling with presets and asking questions in here.. but as QM rightfully said to me previously, the manual has it all. Also be sure to check out the patch directory through the editor/manager software. Some great sounds made by QM and other users.
  12. I've got a Vintage Ultra at the end of my chain currently, has anyone used the DI live/in the studio? Thoughts?? I've noticed at home it seems to be quite a hot output. Considering getting a passive DI like the Walrus Canvas Mono but not sure it's really necessary.
  13. I find having a download folder of the patches you're editing is almost essential, otherwise writing individual patches to the FI is a pain as you have to select the file, not the patch within the Manager. It's a shame that the changes made in Editor don't automatically translate to the Manager.

  15. Gotta love online sellers who live in the derrière end of nowhere but refuse to post pedals*

      It’s just a pedal? What a cockwomble 🙄

Yeah, I just naturally assumed bass/heavy amp-head/cab. Whatever next, pick up plectrums?

Yah there's a guy local to me like that. Why do online at all like?

  16. When I took the dial and screw off the top I did blow some dust/dirt out, but it didn't affect the click unfortunately. There was nothing inside the pedal. I'll try again later with the vacuum. If not, I'll contact Panda. Thanks!
  17. The click of my Edit/Bank Up dial has gone. It still registers, so I can edit patches/go between banks but it would be nice to have the click. Taken the FI apart and can't see anything loose so I'm guessing I'll probably need to replace that pot.
  18. Hey, this is V2. 👍 V3 has dipswitches under the EQ controls to select between mid frequencies. All the best with the sale
  19. Keep seeing Doom 2's on Reverb with stupidly high prices... I'll regret having to turn down the one offered to me during lockdown forever 😩

  21. Instead of being so salty and upset that you were corrected, why not try appreciating the lesson learnt? If I went on a Latvian speaking forum and made a fundamental error in my use of the language, I wouldn't start being petulant when corrected.
  22. Partly because Marcus has been putting Sadowsky preamps in his basses for a long time!
  23. I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but a unicorn is a mythical creature haha... nothing to do with "universal".
