Aria Pro II SB Special-II in good nick considering it's from 1984, or at least I think it is looking at the serial No (first digit) ....... It's not a 74 or 94 model before someone points out they recycled Ser Nos every ten years). Usual scratches and marks that you'd expect to find on a bass this age. If you're one of those who for some reason only buys immaculate condition basses that have never been played or out the house, then this isn't for you 🙂 Plays great with all the electronics and switches working as they should. Recently set up with Roto SS Rounds and the colour of it meant lots of reflections 🙂 These were made out of ash from what I understand, so not lightweight 🙂 No daft offers please, as I'm not desperate to sell, and happy to post it at your cost in an old gig-bag in a guitar transit box

A pair of Hartke HD112 HyDrives in great nick. I think these are about £350-ish new, so grab a bargain. Nice and punchy, as you'd expect from Hartke, 300W with switchable 4/8 Ohms each. No daft offers please, it's already effectively 'buy one get one free'

TecAmp BONAFIDE bass amp in good condition complete with its foot-switch and carry case (see pics). In full working order, although I did give the controls a spray with contact cleaner, as one of the master vol controls had a bit of crackle. Great amps (effectively 2 x Pumas in one box!), but no longer using it for what I needed it for. Just need the one channel now for one bass, so it seems I have gone an amp too far. Happy to post at buyers cost obviously. Happy for PayPal too, but if Goods & Services I'll sadly have to pass on PayPal's pound of flesh they take from me in commission, which I'm sure you understand.

Peavey MiniMAX 500. Used, but only light use and has a scratch on the top (see pic). Still with the original carry case and box and a fair price I reckon, so probably a bargain for someone, as they're about at the £300 now. Only selling, as I've moved to a combo, but I'll miss the tuner on the front to be honest (I wish more makers included tuners 🙂 ) Happy to post, which will be about a tenner. No daft offers though.

Ashdown RM-110, 250w, 8ohm, 1x10" bass cab. In great condition, as it was only used indoors with a small Trace head. Price includes UK postage 🙂

1979 Yamaha Pulser Bass 400. In pretty good nick for a 40-year old bass. I had to to some extensive cleaning on it when I acquired it a while back, as it looked like it had been living in someone's garage (very grimy). The jack has been replaced this year along with the wiring - The jack became intermittent, even after cleaning, and the wiring has also been replaced (breaking), although the pots remain original. There are an extra few original screws that come with it, but for the life of me I can't recall where they came from on the bass (pickup screws maybe). Currently has flats on it. Weighs 7.9lb and is 40mm at the nut. Original pickups and wiring on those, which connect to the new loom with a solderless fitting. Comes in an old Sandberg gig-bag, but still has the old brown soft bag (see pic).

USA Fender 'Hot Rod' Bass from 2000/2002 in sunset orange transparent. Shows the wood grain under the finish and in fantastic condition with all its bits and covers, except for the original case sadly, which I've never had, so comes in a Fender gig-bag it currently lives in. Weighs 9lb and is 42mm at the nut (1-5/8"). An odd original bridge too (see pic), so you can fiddle about with the string spacing.

1978 Fender Precision made with the A-neck, which was the Jazz type profile of 1.5". Pics of the neck pocket and neck heel shown, so someone may be more accurate. This is how it was made and hasn't been fitted later on..... they made a small run of these. I'm assuming it's made from ash given that it weighs 9.5lb (my 74 is a pound lighter). Ideal for the bass player who wants an old precision, but either doesn't like the wide neck, prefers a Jazz profile or has stubby fingers 🙂 Olympic white nitro, which has 'aged' very nicely over the years to a very pale yellowy colour with slight mottling in places (not from stickers). The pics don't show it up that well to be honest and the dark line across it is the washing line shadow. Missing is the pickup cover, but the bridge one is original with a nice patina, and the scratchplate was replaced at some point to a 70s Fender one. Comes with a non-original hard case, or a Fender gig-bag. Original pickups etc and the tuners work great (better than my 74 ones). I replaced the bridge saddle grub screws with Fender ones, as I played it without the cover and the screw heads interfered with my playing style, but I still have the originals (see pic). It's been my gig bass and obviously has been gigged over its life before me, so has the usual marks to show (but no buckle rash or forearm wear) and some crazing over parts of the body paintwork. Feel free to pop in and have a try and happy to post or halfway meet for petrol money, assuming it's not too far.

Yep, 18v preamp with a passive/active toggle. In Active it has Vol, Pickup Blend, Bass, Treble (the little stacked knob) and Middle. In passive it has Vol then Blend, but it seems none of the EQ controls transition to a standard Tone control, as happens with some other similar electronics. Just played it to try and remember. I wish I'd not......... tempted to keep it 🙂

Fender Deluxe Precision Special in Surf Pearl and with the Pau Ferro fretboard (which I'm assuming is the new rosewood), with gig bag. Great condition and sadly just not used enough. Recently set up and fitted with Rotosound nickel flatwounds. About £800+ new I think, so grab a bargain.

Mayones B4 bass from the early 90s. Can't seem to find much info on these things other than it's a Mayones before they started making top end basses. Lots of reflections in the pics, but that's what you get trying to take photos of a glossy black bass. Light as a feather and a dream to play. The neck is very slim in profile to a J-bass (maybe slimmer), but wider at the nut like a P-bass. About a 12" radius too, so quite flat. Has a handy big contour arm groove on the top of the body (pics make it look like a shadow or reflection). Has a few marks on it as you'd expect from a bass of this age with the main one visible in the pics on the arm contour. The wiring was all over the place when I got it, so replaced it all with a high quality purpose built loom (controls are Vol-Tone-Vol on these). Other than that, it's all original and I think these were also fitted with Schaller tuners. Recently set up and fitted with 100-40 round wounds.

Dean Trans-Brazilia John Entwistle Hybrid active bass guitar (no idea why they call it 'hybrid'). In great condition other than the dink shown in the photos near the jack socket. Plays great with a nice slim j-style neck giving a low easy action (probably slimmer all-round than a j-neck really). No longer used and sticking to my P-bass, so looking to move it on and priced to sell. These things are usually about £450/£500 new, but not even sure if they still make them to be honest. Recently set up and fitted with 100-40 Rotosound round wounds.

Sandberg VM4 California Hardcore Aged (Series 1), which I understand is now discontinued. Great to play and comes with the original Sandberg gig-bag. Recently set up and fitted with Rotosound 100-40 stainless rounds. It's in great nick and I can guarantee that none of the scrapes and marks were made by me, they're all genuine Sandberg scrapes and marks! It's passive & active, but the outputs between the two are quite balanced. Controls are Vol, Blend & 2 x EQ. Only selling because I don't use the MM pickup much, if at all, so may look at getting another Sandberg (maybe with just a humbucker, P-J or Jazz style)........ or maybe something totally different. Happy to post, but it'd need to be insured, however collection is no problem, drop off by me or halfway swap if not too far away for a bit of petrol money. No daft offers please.

Ibanez Musician MC-924 bass. October 1980 according to the serial No. I realise I may be able to get more for it, but I'd rather it was used as intended and to a good home. I'll throw in a non-original, but decent hard case. As far as I can make out this is the 1980 model and one of the top end ones of that era, so it has a active/passive switch, pickup selector, 3-band EQ, master vol, tone and a weird gain knob to control the pre-amp output. No idea where people find immaculate ones to sell, but this one has the battle scars of being 38 years old and used. Hopefully zooming in on the pics will highlight the chips, dinks and buckle rash on the body , head-stock end and a couple on the back of the neck. A good tech recently resolved the minor pre-amp issue and fitted a new genuine fancy jack that these things have. Also recently set up to finger play and with Rotosound 100-40 stainless rounds. It's marked, heavy and has one rubber bit on a knob missing, but it's nice to play and a bit of a collectors item if nothing else. The frets are good and the ebony fretboard unmarked. Truss rod works, but stiff. Happy to post it too.
