1. Richard, i thought it was you. It'll sell quick im sure, and if i actually get enough cash together from sales after i've bought the LMII then ill be all over this.
2. So im selling both these pedals. Why? I just got a Boss Reverb/Delay, I find i prefer the sound of reverb and delay at the same time, rather than just delay on its own. The Distortion modeller is excellent, with some stellar models what work very well with bass, I've enjoyed it so much I bought a Colorsound Tonebender and am getting a Roland JetFuzz clone built, and i've already got more than enough fuzzes that the DM4 has led me to neglect. Line6 DM4 Distortion Modeller its got a few scratches but comes with a brand new power supply (9v AC), with box and instructions. Models • Boost/Comp (MXR Microamp with Compression) • Tube Drive (Chandler Tube Driver) • Screamer (Ibanez Tubescreamer TS808) • Overdrive (DOD overdrive 250) • Classic Distortion (Proco Rat) • Heavy Distortion (Boss Metal Zone MT2) • Colordrive (Colorsound Overdriver) • Buzz Saw (Maestro Fuzz-Tone) • Facial Fuzz (Dallas Arbeiter Fuzz Face) • Jumbo Fuzz (Vox Tone Bender) • Fuzz Pi (Big Muff PI) • Jet Fuzz (Roland Jet Phaser) • Line 6 Drive (Colorsound Tone-Bender) • Line 6 Distortion • Sub Octave Fuzz (PAiA Roctave Divider) • Octave Fuzz (Tycobrahe Octavia) Most of the models have 3-band EQ and sound great on bass - my favorites are the Facial Fuzz, Line6 Drive and the Jet Fuzz models. You can Set 4 presets, and theres an expression pedal input - which would be especially usefull for the Jet Fuzz. I'd Like £95 posted in the UK. Digitech Hardwire DL8 Delay/Looper * Delay Types o Digital + 0.5 Seconds – 150 ms to 500 ms (milliseconds) + 1 Second – 500 ms to 1 sec + 2 Seconds – 1 sec to 2 sec + 8 Seconds – 2 sec to 8 sec o Reverse o Modulated – chorused delay o Analog – vintage bucket brigade analog delay o Slapback – 80 ms to 150 ms o LoFi – low-fidelity delay o Tape – classic tube tape echo o Loop – infinite stereo loops up to 20 sec * Tails On/Off Switch – When on, delay tails are not cut off in bypass * Tap Tempo * Stereo Inputs and Outputs i'm looking for £95 Posted in the UK Paypal Only Please
3.
how different is audio... from Prunes and Custards. Especially since you owned them both.
Still got both too! criminally neglegting the P&C at the moment though. they're completely different. The Hotcake remideds me of a Fender Bassman style overdrive, and the P&C is some crazy fuzz/synth thing.
4.
Cor, sell that lot and you might have enough for a new bass
dude, it would probably end up with you if i hadnt already arranged with someone to buy their Little Mark II off them
5. Ok, to fund a new MarkBass Amp, I've gotta sell some things, not really desparate to see these things go but could do with some cash. 1. ToneFactor Bass Fuzz Saw - INCREDIBLY RARE - 1 of 2 in existence, I bought this one off Tayste who had both made for him by Tonefactor. A fantastic MXR-sized Bass Fuzz with one control - VOLUME. Runs off 9v battery or regular boss style power supply. £95 Posted in the UK 2. Barber Linden EQ - Very hard to get hold of in the UK (UK stockists are almost always sold out - I had to get this from Singapore) - Its basically the EQ section of the Ampeg Fliptop, its a very versatile and musical EQ. Has a switch for high frequency contour, and a push-pull pot for the Bass control that controls filtered or un-filtered lowend. Runs off 9v battery or regular boss style power supply. £85 Posted in the UK 3. Crowther Audio Hotcake - SOLD 4. EHX XO Bass Micro Synth -Sold 5. MXR Bass Blowtorch - SOLD 6. DOD FX25b Envelope Filter with Blend - SOLD Not looking for trades as i need the money, Paypal Only Please Thanks Theo
6.
I'm near Streatham Common station! Theo, I could be interested in the MicroPOG, but as I want it to try and recreate organ sounds (to use with my leslie simulator), I'm not sure if I would be better off with the full sized POG with it's detune feature... Need to try em side by side I suppose! I'd give you £90 for it if you want to trade it in, PM me if you want to come down try it out sometime.
cool thanks for the offer, I guess if you want the whole organ sound thing, then get the POGII, its pretty fantastic. The Detune makes the organ sound. TBH i was just throwing it out there, if you wanted other stuff then we could try and work some part-x out but i could probably stretch to £200-250 cash plus pedals, but i've really gotta pay off some debts and get a new car. thanks for getting back to me though. Free Bump
7. how is this not gone yet? Dan you can have my car for it (ok, ok honestly my car is worth about half the price of the bass, and its decreasing rapidly). I know you've got loadsa pedals, but if you want more im willing to set you a significant amount of pedals in exchange for the bass. Obviously you're probably looking for cash, not pedals (as you're selling a a few at the moment, a few of which i bought) I dont know what you have or dont have, but i'd offer: Barber Linden EQ Crowther Hotcake Micropog DOD fx25b envelope filter MXR Blowtorch (possibly) Devi Ever Dark Boost (possibly) Boss OC2 (possibly) XO bass micro synth wouldnt be all of these, but you could pick, and i could front some cash (although i dont get paid till the end of the month) obviously im just clutching at straws now...but if anything takes your eye, let me know
8. Well I got enogh info on the bass to know that I probably shouldnt sell it, ever. from flipper_GV (on Talkbass) It's a true American deluxe jazz bass. They made some changes through the years (P/u's and elec went from Suhr (yours) to special noiseless pickups with fender 9V pre to SCN pickups with 18V pre, tuners went with lightweight tuner as of 98 as well as abalone inlays, 5 bolt neck joint in 2004 (not sure here)). Most people think your era is the best fender produced. So, if I'd be you, I'd keep it, since they are pretty hard to find for a fender production model. from Pyrohr (on talkbass) The early DLX jazzes 1995-98 had electronics and pups designed by John Suhr who happens to post here occasionally. He worked for Fender R&D at that time and added his input for that bass. When I owned that bass I also owned other DLX jazzes with two being 18v pre's and I can tell you the extra 9 volts was not missed! It had a pretty "clean" sound with usable boost at all frequencies. At that time that bass was string through the body and bridge, the standard MIA bass was STB only! I personal didn't care for the DLX jazz when they switched to the "noiseless" pups as it sounded sterile and dry to me. from Jeff K (on Talkbass) Even though your S/N indicates it to be a '95, I think it's actually a '96 because of the anniversary medallion on the back of the headstock. Sometimes basses actually issued in the new year have the previous year's S/N. For example, when Fender came out with the newly updated American Standards in 2008, some of the first ones to come out actually showed a "Z7..." S/N rather than "Z8..." I'm pretty sure the medallion was on the back of the headstock for the '96's. So I'm thinking yours is an early '96. As for the bass itself, the color is called "Vintage Blonde". I've always loved it. The only thing I never liked about them was what I considered to be a "cheap-looking" tort p/g that Fender used for a few years. It's more black & red, and doesn't look as "traditional" as the older or newer torts. The body IS slightly downsized. Tons of tonal possibilities. I wouldn't be too quick to get rid of it unless you just don't like it. Because it is an active bass, don't forget to change your battery from time to time. so basically unless someone wants to make me an offer i cant refuse, I think i'll take this one to the grave. Probably means i might have to sell my Active MIM P-bass Special
9.
It's a common (but beautiful) Deluxe JB with some dings, not really a rare find. Don't you think so?
well im not really touting it as a rarity. I do see dlx jazzes for sale, but alot of them are MIM or American series, and I wasnt too sure where this fits in its almost exactly like this one: http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0136760341 but i can see the grain through mine, and I can string through the body, and i've got different pickups.
10. actually, looking at the serial number, its probably 1995, not 96
11. Hello! **EDIT** This thread started as a feeler in july 2009. I wasnt 100% on selling it then, and im still not now really. Its my first real bass and still plays and sounds like a dream. I used it extensively with my first band and for years it was my only bass. Having said that, there is a nasty chunk taken out of the paintwork on the horn (as seen in the pics below), its got its fair share of dings too and some buckle rash on the back and the input jack is a little temperamental (should be a simple fix, but i dont want to start screwing with it). The back of the neck has little dings to them (honestly not sure where they even came from) but are pretty shallow. To me, no other jazz bass has ever felt as nice in my hands, but that could be because i spent my formative bass playing years spanking on this. I feel like im making a mistake if i do sell this, but i'm only using my '86 modded p-bass now and this hasnt seen a gig or a practice in a long time (did record my bands album with it though). I guess im looking for *around* the £700 mark, the bass comes with its original hard case too. its a bit knackered and one of the clasps has broken off. Postage to UK is included in the price. If you feel the price is unrealistic, thats fine. I'm not desparate to sell, but I REALLY want a tube amp (Matamp, Orange, Hiwatt) and £700 will get me alot closer to it. thanks Theo
12. Please take my MIM P-bass Deluxe and some cash for this dan, im dying inside everyday this doesnt sell
13. Hey, no worries, glad you like it. I dont know if i even have a feedback section, so I wouldnt worry about it. Hope the gig went well, Theo
Not sure how to leave feedback here, but just to say Theo is a top, top Geeza! Collected yesterday, gigged three hours later and loving it! Thanks a lot mate, James
14.
I'll take that please Can collect over the weekend? Cheers, James
Potentially SOLD!
15.
Please edit your original thread title to say @@All sold@@, Cheers
Good Call!
16. Heres my SWR Bass Cab 2x10-inch speakers 8 ohm impedance. 200w handling Adjustable Tweeter The Paul Tkachenko sticker is from the previous owner, feel free to remove it. Im not really sure how old it is, but its in good condition and sounds great paired with my Ashdown Mag300 1x15 combo. Unfortunately, its surplus to requirements as im rarely gigging these days, and when i do, the gigs are small and the ashdown can deal with them by itself. Its been used about 3 times since i bought it about 4 months ago. I'd Like £100 for it. Cash on Collection - my ashdown is in my rehearsal space at the other end of London, so might not be able to try it through anything. But if time permits i might be able to bring it home for you to try. Its a weighty beast, so postage is out of the question. I live in Rickmansworth, which is Jnct 18 of the M25, Greater London/Hertfordshire Thanks
17. Price drop on Supercollider, Boss OC2 WITHDRAWN (everyone needs an OC2, even when you have a Micropog AND a POG2)
18.
You should've said it was "reliced", then it would be worth even more! I'm still trying to remember why I needed two OC-2s. If I do remember I'll buy yours, I swear it was a brilliant idea that I had but it's completely gone...
hows about oc2 (number 1) - dry signal + -oct1 OC2 (number2_ - just -oct1 for keyboard-bass madness TBH i'd probably just end up buying another OC2 if this sells. Coz even the POG2 isnt the same
19. argh its still worth the money (in my opinion) i'll sell it to my guitarist maybe. nothing sold bumparoony
20. £500 is IMO a fantastic price for that bass, but at the moment I just cant justify spending even that on a new bass (my car has its MOT in november - i doubt it'll pass and the head gasket is going so i've gotta get a new car really ) I'll have to leave it unfortunately. good luck with the sale Theo
