Hi Guys, Haven't had time, so still in a state of no sound through speaker out and happy to let it go as it is. Have been too busy to get it sorted. Unfortunately the inner working of an amp are not something I've ever got into, but the fact that everything appears to be working apart from the speaker out is encouraging I guess. Best PM me as I'm not around a computer much for the next few days but will receive PM notifications.

For a birthday present I asked my parents for the £22.50 Jedson guitar sitting in a strange little shop in Camberwell High Street. They came back with the identical short scale bass version that was next to it. Record contracts and Europen tours that followed 4 years later and all the varied work I've done since I doubt would have occurred if that Jedson guitar were sitting in the corner.

Not proud to say I can't recall ever practising unless learning new songs. Bass tends to only come out at gigs. Keep promising myself to take this bass playing business a bit more seriously but 30 years down the line is a hard habit to break.

You see some good examples of these pop up on German Ebay, along with Schack graphite necked basses from the 90's. They all used SKC (Bogart) necks and hardware. Wouldn't mind having a lefty as per OP.

Whynot's ever changing backline...... Sunday nights setup. Loving the Club 2x10, thanks Kjm. Dinky little thing and very light for a 2x10 at 30lbs.
The 750 with one TC cab would be outputting around 400watts and I'm sure they would sell something and say it can be used with current cabs if they have the potential to over load them.
I've heard there is some intelligent thing going on between a TC head and TC cab(s), in so far the the amp recognises when a TC cab is connected and boosts or reduces power. Hence 3 8ohm TC cabs can be used. Does not work for non TC cabs. I could be talking rubbish but came from a source who sells the gear.

TC Electronics cabs - are they the best for TC heads?
whynot replied to niceguyhomer's topic in Amps and Cabs
I went to see a friend's blues band last year. He was using an RH450 + 2xRS210's with no PA support. A bar with quite a large room and stage in the centre. The band were playing at what I would say was average volume for that type of bar/pub gig. 2 guitars, drums, keys. The bass could be heard very clearly around the room but towards the end of the evening the speakers were at there limit and struggling in the lows a little. The eq was set pretty flat. Could probably have done with an RS212 under one 210 for that particular band. -

GK Neo 212-I in perfect working order. No speaker issues and the bi-amp works fine with a GK head and cable. 8 ohms, 600 watts. Comes with removable castors. Also comes with cover as per picture but seen better days and has been stitched in places. Cosmetically the front is clean. The covering has some marks in places, most noticeably on the rear as per picture but sides are reasonably clean, the odd minor scuff but nothing major. It's not getting regular use so £250 cash on collection from South London. I may be interested in a trade on a 1x12 lightweight combo.

Ashdown Superfly in very good condition with cover. May have manual but not sure. This is the 2x250w model. The side casing was removed by the previous owner as this is known to reduce the heat (they can get a little hot). I think it looks betting like this. All works fine. Used on last nights gig through a Markbass NY151 and DI'd out, no problem. Was getting thumbs up from some enthusiastic members of the audience, but that could have been the drink. I'm on the lookout for a (preferably lightweight) 1x12 quality combo as possibly trade with cash your way. A very reasonable £95 plus £10 postage.

Hi All, I've had this amp for a while which I purchased used and used on several gigs last year. Been kept as a backup. Went to try it a couple of weeks back. All lights up with input signal fine, DI out fine, Effects out signal fine, but nothing coming through the speaker out. I was going to take in for repair but I have near zero free time throughout May, so seeing if there is any interest in it's current condition at £80 plus £20 postage. The amp casing is in excellent condition. I know nothing about electrics so it may be a very simple fix but I honestly don't know.

I think it worth experimenting more to get the best out of it. From my experience of using a UL310 and UL212, the Epi cabs are naturally very smooth (for want of a better word), not much definition unless the cab is driven hard. The 450 out the box is smooth. If your sound is a little woolly I can imagine why. Just my opinion... please don't go spending money on my comments.

Really hope it works out for you. Don't forget to have a play with the eq points as can make a significant difference. I had a similar experience on my first gig with an RH450 straight out the box. I struggled to raise a smile all the way through, having lost some definition to what I'd been used to from the likes of EBS and a few other heads. Wasn't till a few gigs down the line and some experimenting I realised what this amp was about.

I had one briefly when owning an RH450 and very nice sounding cabs. I wouldn't use it without PA support unless a low volume gig. I had one gig where I used it as backline and it did get a little lost, but a 9 piece on small stage could have been the reason, plus being rear ported, placement of cab is important to get the best out of it.

Maidstone is fine. I'm in Bromley, so 25 minutes drive to Maidstone Central. If you could send details. Thanks Alan
I know a guy in Maidstone who I find very good ....esp on the older amps. But Maidstone might be a bit too far away..????
Hi All, I've had one of these sitting in my garage for quite a while and now decided to get it up and running (lights up but no sound). Have phoned a couple of respected repair people and both say they are happy to look at it but suggest someone who is more familiar with Hartke amps due to some unusual parts. Don't want to take to distributor as pretty useless from previous experaince, so my question is does anyone know who would be happy to take on my 3500 in the greater London area and is familiar with Hartke amps?

I picked up an Ashdown Superfly on here for about £90 a few months ago. Most of my gigs are PA supported but I tend to leave the Ashdown in my car as backup just in case needed.

Have ended up with an interesting small mixture of amps and cabs at the moment and this was last nights combo. Bass into EBS MultiComp, Line 6 m9, GK 1001, MB NY151. Punchy little combination. I use the M9 mostly for it's modelled EBS Octabass, which for me sounds and tracks better than an EBS unit plus. A little lush chorus and delay. Unfortunately nothing in there as good as the MultiComp as yet.

Question for 600/900 owners.... Is it possible to get some natural tube compression but still retain a clear tone? I use to own a Warwick Quad which did that nicely.

Line 6 Lowdown Studio 110! Picked one up used a few weeks back and very happy with it for low volume backline gigs, although surprisingly loud for it's size. Forget on onboard synth effect.
