1. I was asked for some photos so I've taken them and added a link to the first post on this thread. However, I spent quite some time playing the bass yesterday while I had it out and am now having second thoughts about selling, epsecially given the lengths I went through to aquire it in the first place! This might be the last bump
2. Mr VIP just bought my amp. Very easy to deal with, good commnications, and he turned up to collect when he said he would, and a very nice guy too. Would happily deal with him again. Thanks Henry, I hope you get good use from it. Cheers G.

6.
Its been a very long time, nearly a year, but it is ready this week. I'm really looking forward to this design, a six string fretless P bass should be quite interesting. Will keep you guys and girls posted.
just wondering when you ordered the bass? the first post on this thread was the 29th of April, which is just over 8 months ago. If it's ready this week, the bass will have been about 2 months over the initial 6 month build time you were quoted. I'd hardly call that "nearly a year". In fact it's much closer to the estimated delivery time than it is to a (6month overdue) year wait. So, it seems a little unfair to JS suggest that it is "nearly a year"? I'd understand your worries about slipping timescales if this was a little known luthier, with no track record, but JS appears to have a solid reputation. However, it sounds like JS could be a little more realistic with his estimates and improve his communication. I guess there is a fine balance to be found, whereby potential business isn't lost by quoting overly cautious long delivery times, and bass building time isn't compromised by having to deal with emails/phone calls. Anyway, it sounds like it will be a great bass, and I hope that you do get delivery this week - it will be a nice new year present!
7. I'm still massively gassing for one of these after playing one on the Bass Direct stand at the London BGS last year. Really nice basses. Unfortunately I've decided that for now a 35" scale and 24 frets is best (for me). I'm really surprised that, given that they are available from Bass Direct, they seem to have quite a low profile on BC. Have a free bump anyway, and sorry it can't be mine!
8. hi Clarky, thanks for the offer, but I'm all bassed up. I'm trying to declutter a bit Cheers G

Bump! Sandberg 6 string fretless still for sale @ £700ono
10. going to include a shipping option on this now, as I have a decent box to ship it in. so, now £540 inclusive of shipping in the UK or £520 collected. If anyone outside the UK is interested, PM me your address and I will get you a shipping quote.
11. Morning Star by Vincent Herring. Richie Goods on bass. Really nice "jazz", but leaning towards funk/fusion.
12. still available?
13. no it isn't, I bought it
14.
This is the exact spec I would request if I were to order a Nordy, have you thought about a sale?
erm - where is the spec? woods, scale length, weight, string spacing at bridge, control layout, pickups? I could take a guess, but I imagine a potential buyer/trader might want to know those finer details? ;-)
15. why does everybody talk about being "endorsed" by such and such company? surely the musician is the endorser of a company's product(s), because they believe the product is a good product and/or so that they get free/cheap stuff. the company as the endorsee hopes that legions of fanboys/girls will then try to emulate their heroes by buying said product. I don't mean to sound too cynical, but it makes no sense to me to talk about the companies endorsing individual musicians
16. +1 to all the above. just bought a bass from Harry, and it couldn't be easier. thoroughly recommended cheers Harry, I am a very happy chappy G
17. except they will only accept wire transfer internationally. I tried to buy some strings from them the other day, and it didn't happen because of their very limited payment option.

Owen - Feedback

I've known Owen a long time, probably longer than I'd care to remember! Anyway, I just did a 3 way deal with him and DafLewis - it went smoothly and as expected. No problems here... diolch Owen! Hwyl G.
19. Time I dropped off some feedback for Daf! I recently, and indirectly, bought a bass from him in a 3 way deal with Owen. Daf couldn't have been easier to deal with. Cheers Daf, great to meet you, and thanks for the NS! Cheers G.
20. cccy just bought a Acme Low B2 cabinet from me. Good communication, and he turned up as we had arranged. Thanks, and I hope you get good use out of the cab! cheers G
21. Kind of a feeler - which means, I'll sell it at the right price ;0) More about it and how it came to me on this thread I'm after £2200 for it, which is what I have in it (EDIT. I actually have £2500 in it!). Comes with the original Sadowsky lightweight case and all paperwork, case candy etc. If I recall correctly, the new selling price from Sadowsky on this bass was $3775. At todays exchange rate a new one at that price would cost you about £3000 to buy and import directly from Sadowsky. Although I'm sure their prices have probably risen since Sept 2009. It's a great NYC Sadowsky, in VGC. At 7.85 lbs, it is super-light, has a chambered ash body, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The tone is punchy and warm. If Sadowskys are your thing, I'm sure you will love it. This was easily the best sounding bass that I tried in the Sadowsky showroom when I first played it, but... the harsh reality is I have major GAS for another MTD and the Sadowsky is not a 24 fret 35" scale bass, to which I have become accustomed, and I guess I prefer the more modern tone/aesthetic of the MTD. PHOTOS HERE SHIPPING: Frankly, it is a pain in the arse, and I'm not inclined to do it. I would much prefer to sell to someone face to face who has played it and is happy with it, and know exactly what they are getting. However, there is a shipping place around the corner from me now, that I could use, because they are open on weekends. I will only use them and you will pay whatever they charge + full insurance. I cannot wait in during the week for couriers etc, so this is the only convenient way for me to arrange shipping. Thanks! G
22. i think the "switch" might not be retro fitted - when I ordered my TF 550 B a few years back, the switch was still an optional extra, and that's exactly how it looked "factory fitted" by Dave F himself. The later models came with the switch as standard I believe, and the "switch" looked less of an afterthought (edit: and had an LED to tell you if it was on or off!) Great amps, I'm sure whoever snagged this will be very happy with it.
23. I'm just starting a new topic do tidy up my old for sale thread for this bass. So, most contents copied from here: http://basschat.co.u...erg-6-fretless/ Sandberg Basic 6 fretless, bought by me new (circa 2004) and is in the same condition it was it when I bought it. As good as any other fretless I've owned and/or played, and sounds huge is a live mix - I'm asking £700 Full picture slide-show here! I'm not really inclined to barter on the price, and I don't want to organise shipping either as I'm afraid that I don't have a case for it, but can deliver in person or meet half way, within reason. If you are interested then you are welcome to try it out in West London. Cheers G
