  1. I hardly use mine, but its been handy when ive been on holiday as its totally waterproof. Also good for festivals etc. The Hyper lapse feature is very cool, and the stabilisation is very, very good. Ive hardly touched my DSLR since getting a Canon M50 last year. might start selling off the L lenses.
  2. Ive used my GoPro a few times and the quietly is pretty good, although not as good as a proper video camera.a The good thing is its so small it can be clamped almost anywhere and doesn't need focusing etc. I was very tempted to upgrade my Hero 7 to the new Hero 8, but ive always fancied a decent 360 degree camera. It will be strange videoing the crowd at the same time as the band.
  3. That looks like a great gig. Ours are nowhere near as interesting, or as regular. Ive always fancied videoing gigs, but lack of transport means i cant be bothered lugging the gear. Going a bit off topic i have just ordered the new GoPro Max. I figure if i plonk that at the front of the stage it will capture everything, inc the crowd, and i can re frame afterwards. Audio supplied by my Roland digitla recorder.
  4. I have but as im normally on stage its not something i can do myself, and using a DSLR is very tricky for a novice, due to the DOF etc. Must admit i don't really have much experience with video like this, dont have lights etc, nor the experience to get the shots etc. Happy to pay a pro to do all this.
  5. Makes me want to keep my P34.....which i too am loving again.
  6. This would look great in the Bass guitar forum 😉
  7. Agreed (and i too had never heard of Dug, and dont care for his tone now that i do know who he is), but it's what else the pedal can do that would sell me. The videos being done by Tim have shown that although the SH1 seems to have certain tone no matter what, its one I can definitely get on with. I would never use the SH tone, but i quite like the Motown and Geezer tones.
  8. No problem. They are really good, lengthy reviews and it nice to hear everything played with fingers, thumb and pick. I'm not looking at any more of your reviews so I'm safe for now. 😀
  9. I said pretty much the same thing at the start of the thread, although i do understand he has now used it. I get the feeling they got the SH moniker by putting a load of P bass players names in a hat and Steve's name came out. Going by the demos they are all variations on a theme, albeit one thats been long overdue IMO. Im very interested in this but mostly for the two channel grain/ level, and I'm assuming the departure from the Ampeg tone.
  10. Tim's got another one up on YT
  11. MY drummer is very fussy and we would never hear the end of it if he didnt get to use his kit (not thats its anything special). Guitarist likes to use more than one guitar, as many as he can normally 🙂
  12. Actually i just remembered. You press both large knobs down together to go in to bypass mode on the Stomp. Easy enough down with the foot..
  13. Im not sure if there is a big difference between bypass and not having any effects on (assuming the Global EQ is off). If there isnt you can just turn any amp sim off using a foot switch. To me it seems a bit long winded to use bypass mode, as you would then have to turn it back on if you wanted to use any effects.
  14. Yes, i wasnt really talking about me, more the guitarist and drummer.
  15. Its an option, but if we didn't take out own kit it would end up a compromise, which i would want captured on video.
  16. Was thinking that, but its a bloody long way to go.
  17. Done. Considering how much you have cost me you are lucky that i did lol. Good luck mate 🙂
  18. Thats a great way to sell the band. Ive been looking for a similar package down here in London but prices seem to be quite a bit higher.
  19. That looks more like the Xvive 2 rather than the Boss. Be aware that that those type can only work on 4 channels, the Boss can scan 14 i believe. The downside to the Boss is you cant manually select it.
  20. I've only noticed this with regards to my playing......
  21. Owners manual now on line http://www.tech21nyc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/SteveHarris_OM.pdf
  22. Actually you're right, most dont use that phrase. They do you the words 'neutral' and 'flat though. So if its not the manufactures using it, then it must be the end user's, so yeah, i guess it has become a buzz word rather than a true indication of something thats flat. As for those quotes, does anyone really believe things like those?
  23. Ive used NS10's many times in recording studios. Very revealing speakers 😔
  24. Which Stuido monitor? Is there one thats perfectly flat that they used? Who's 'flat' was it 😉 I didn't like my BB2 (or Retro 2 10). Very large low end, lacked mids. Saying that, i was more used to a more coloured tone so I'd say the tone just wasnt what i liked. I'm not singling out BF, just that i thought I'd mention it as it was brought up that manufactures do aim for a particular tone and the BF wasnt one i liked.
