I love the precursor bands to Björk, Þeyr, K.U.K.L the Icelandic post-punk scene was mad. I first saw Björk performing with K.U.K.L. in a squat near Vauxhall, astonishing.

This is unsurprising, a lot of Fag Gadget fans are fanatical about him. I think he was excellent but not to the point of fanaticism.

That’s awful, how did they incite fighting?

A stone cold classic, a song that’s tied up with a lot of good and bad memories and, for me, is inextricably bound up with…

Very much enjoying the latest album from Public Service Broadcasting, Bright Magic… -
As you know it was that bass that turned me from the Rob Allen, something I never thought would happen.

A real long shot here. I’m looking to replace the control knobs on an Ibanez SRC6, preferably with wooden knobs to match the body. There are to large control knobs and three smaller like this… …there seem to be plenty of the larger size but I don’t really know what to search for when it comes to the smaller size. Any recommendations/ideas?

Jabba uses La Bella flatwounds. I’m assuming you are talking about @wrinkleygit’s gorgeous bass which, I think, has La Bellas on too (I’m sure he’ll be along to put me right if not). Certainly the bass I’ve just purchased from Jez has La Bellas as did both my Rob Allen basses, I think they are by far the best strings for basses such as Jez and Rob Allen build.

All our maps have everything south-west of Flax Bourton labelled as 'There be pasties'.

The Luminlay certainly works very well.

Easily done, it's the cider and the endless pasties, it's enough to drive a man to distraction. -
The Big Fat South-West Bass Bash - Now Sunday 19th September 2021

On hearing the postman struggling to cram something through the letterbox I assumed a) he'd finally cracked and decided to hump the attractive front door (it's the stained glass window with the sunset that does it) or b) Chez Blank had been targeted for an inordinate amount of junk mail this morning. In fact it was the rarely seen option q) arrival of Bass Bash T-Shirt, addressed to none other F Black, whoever that is? As he appears to take the same size as me in T-shirts I have appropriated it. Cheers Stumpybike. 😉
