My sister kept ferrets for a while as part of her homage to Dr Doolittle's menagerie.

Just to point out to any youngsters reading this thread that this 👆 would make an absolutely ideal opening line for your CV, especially if you are applying for work in a veterinary practice or taking money on the dodgems down the local fair.

  2. Thanks to recommendations from @Osiris I have finally found a compressor that really compliments the Alix. The Effectrode PC-2A runs hot hence the big gap between the two, you can see the vents on the side of the unit. The Alix and the PC-2A are a marriage made in heaven, @Jabba_the_gut basses into this little board and out to a QSC K12.2 is the perfect set up for the kind of music we make ('acoustic' duo)...

  3.  For Sale - Boss TU-3w Chromatic Tuner - ***SOLD***

Link to the Boss page on the TU-3w

This item has been in it's box mostly since it was bought in mid-April. It's been to this years Midlands Bass Bash and posed for a few Show Us Your Rig/Ampless setup pics. It's barely been used and I would describe its condition as new. Comes boxed with all its paperwork, essentially what you'd get if you bought a new one for £149 like I did just because it looked cool even though I use clip-on tuners! My stupidity means your bargain.

Would prefer pick up from Southend or meet between our locations or I'm happy to deliver to you (any distance considered) will also post if no other option possible.

  4. Met up with Sidney this morning to unload my compressor all over him. He took it well although I think the coastguard may have scrambled the Whitley Bay lifeboat. Further to this I contacted the coastguard service in order that they refrain from scrambling lifeboats in the future as, I think we can all agree, we prefer our lifeboats poached.

No animals were harmed during this feedback although I freely admit the Frank Blank Seal of Approval did graze a flipper on its way into this thread but that's what you get for swigging Buckfast at vespers.

I did wonder about that... the Mutron feet are quite chunky squares of rubber so I wonder if they'd fit into the gaps, and if the gaps would be spaced appropriately? I'll get the tape measure out. The Bassballs is less of a prob as the feet are detachable with screws.

@ped just about to sell my Aclam board + accessories/leads in case you are still interested in such a thing.

I have booked a practice session with our drummer to try to develop our playing relationship. Has anyone done this, did it work and have you any hints please?

I have, it works. A three hour practice session and you'll absolutely know if your playing relationship is viable.
