     ...and why a lot of upright players use AER amps. I used to have the AER Basic Performer, lovely amp but it didn't sound as good as the QSC.

    Just bought a lovely JMJ Mustang from an equally lovely @Brucegill. Excellent, painless transaction, a real pleasure to deal with. So firstly I need to declare him a scholar and a gentleman and secondly award him the entirely un-coveted Frank Blank Seal of Approval...

    I am only just beginning to realise that my ridiculous form way over function habits are what has a) cost me a lot of money over the years and b) had me scratching my head over why I am never satisfied tonally. Some very good advice on here had me buying a compressor recently that I'd never have given a second glance to a few months back. It's ugly but exactly the right compressor. I am hoping this lesson will have me making much better gear purchases from now on. Cheers @Osiris.

    Ah, see, that's where I went wrong. Stupidly I got my plastic meath from Pitsea market, no wonder it broke so quickly, a gold or silver meath is obviously an investment worth making.
