For me the place had the odd sense of death. Not down to the usual clientele but a lot of people died of water-borne diseases whilst living in the pub as they dug the canals in the 1830s, as I later found out

I got this update on a clay tablet, written with a copper stylus. For basschat that’s pretty advanced, none of this scratching into rocks nonsense which is just so last-millennium
