2. POCKET ROCKIT V2B...........Headphone Amplifier. £35 (inc headphones) bought years ago and wouldn't be without it. Battery powered, just plug it in your bass and play.................silently.
 3. I bought a brand new SB301 in 1992. It was Sunburst and cost £225. I sold it two years later for the same price. Great bass but i put the money towards a 1974 Fender Jazz which i bought for £400. That still makes me extremely happy.
 4.
You're not really happy here, are you Beta?
Happier than you'll ever know, especially when reading some of the posts on here
 5.
Was it the one missing from your avatar.
Missing? I can see it fine thanks.
 6.
Look at what this silly sod has done to this 7 string guitar... http://www.ebay.co.u...84&cmd=ViewItem These guitars were only £400 new! I know...I used to sell them!
I've seen lots of Guitars and Basses (sometimes on forums) that were advertised for more than when they were new.
 7. Perhaps he should sit in his bedroom all night on his computer looking at Bass Guitar forums to polish up on his grammar.
 8. He seems o.k. to me. If customers are happy i don't see a problem.
 9. On second thoughts i really can't be bothered with this. Sod it, i'll take it down my local charity shop where hopefully they won't ask me why i'm giving it to them and not the charity shop across the road!
 10.
Can I ask why you are using a courier that discriminates against parts of the UK?
I'm not sure they do, but i do know what it costs for UK mainland delivery. I have amended my post as i don't know what the cost is to other parts of the UK. It may well be the same. If you want to buy the bass then simply email me with your address and i will let you know the cost of postage.
 11.
Everybody is haveing problems, you have to use photo bucket flicker or the likes
Cheers!
 12. I don't get the relic thing at all so whether it's a custom shop or a bloke with a sander they all seem as pointless as each other to me.
 13.
that's happened to me as well, that's why I put a bid in for the speaker stands, but as I've found out it doesn't make any difference.
That's true and why i never end an auction early whether bids are made or not. Some people think it's fine to end an auction if no one is bidding on it. I disagree with this and the only way an auction of mine would end early is if i put a 'buy it now' option on it. As i said before, i try to treat people the way i would like to be treated myself.
 14. I've sold a lot of things on auction sites but have never ended a listing early even when i have had the opportunity to do so. I understand how annoying it is watching an item with no bids with a view to bid towards the end of the listing, only to see it ended early. Very frustrating.
 15.
I've done it a few times where I've agreed to both buy and sell outside of ebay. But only when no bids have been placed. The last 3 things I've bidded on have been removed, and obviously sold privately, AFTER bids have been placed. I find this totally unethical.
I totally agree with what you say about items that have been removed after bids have been made on them. It's happened to me as a bidder and it's one of the most annoying things on auction sites. As a seller i like to treat buyers the way i would like to be treated. I don't end listings early whatever a potential 'buyer' may offer.
 16. Selling is all about how you pitch what you're selling. You could have the best Bass in the world but it ain't gonna to sell if it's sitting in the store room of a shop under a pile of boxes and no one knows it's there. Sellers will do whatever they can to bring what they are selling to the potential buyers attention and that's been going since man started trading with each other.
 17.
I saw it at the exhibition of audio art they had at the Haywards Gallery (I can't remember it's proper name). I think it was only about 15-20 minutes long, but it seemed a lot longer at the time.
'Guitar Drag' by Christian Marclay was held at the Haywood on the South Bank in 2000. It was also available on LP and CD.
 18.
I've always felt like posting that every time a thread on road worns come up. The full length version goes on for ages.
Sorry, but i couldn't resist it! I saw the original of this at an art exhibition some years ago and you're right the original is a lot longer.
 19. I saw Stanley Clarke and Miroslav Vitous duo live in the 80s. Unfortunately i was so mesmerised that i didn't notice what equipment they were using.
 20.
Me too, though sadly too young to have ever seen them play. Strange you feel the need to avoid their music though. Do you also avoid the other influential bands around at the same time? the Stones, Kinks, Small Faces, etc etc (it's long list!).
My quote was (slightly) tongue in cheek and i must admit that they did write a few decent tunes. Although i wasn't a great Stones fan i always thought that they and the Kinks, Animals, Small Faces were much more exciting than the Fab Four who always seemed to me to be the acceptable face of pop. As in, if your Mum liked then they weren't as cutting edge as you thought! P.S. In the early 60s i would much rather have been Johnny Gustafson (The Big Three, The Merseybeats) when posing in front of my Mum's hall mirror than Macca!
