  1. So is this helping you lot feel better? I spent ALL the money, so you guys don't have to. 🫣
  2. No that I know of, unless the Chameleon Circuit on my Warwick Alien/Tardis case is working very well indeed.
  3. Not yet - haven't had time to take any pictures of it yet. I'm waiting for new strap buttons to come from Status, as the locking ones are a bit tarnished and grotty. The picture is from when it was on stock at BassBros in Warwickshire.
  4. Absolutely - It's the 'Happy Shopper' variety of one-off KingBass MkII from 2019.
  5. He could always use one of these as a spade...
  6. I'm almost glad I only just spotted this thread - excellent legal rules based concept, Richard. Unfortunately, before the end of February, I've already failed. Traded in two basses against something I've been after for 17 years last weekend, which cost ALL the money. Okay, so I'm patient (or is that persistent?!) Oh, and one further instrument is up for sale. I do like this thread, though...
  7. Not to worry, SM. If it goes, I'll be onto your Jazz like a pack of hungry dogs
  8. Loving that starred addendum! There's always something that pips our interest - have you seen the lovely Warwick Alien I've got for sale on here? Eh, eh? 🫣
  9. I use an American Original Jazz (basically a modern iteration of a '63) as my main gigging bass. Your FSR is lovely. Had I not just dropped all the money on a very special bass I'd wanted for 17 years, I'd be all over this! (Unless you fancy a deal with my 2005 Warwick Alien?) GLWTS! 😃
  10. I like it. it is, of course VERY pink!
  11. Thanks BA, yes I noticed they had some in stock. What do they actually sound like? I can't remember any other bass with a P/H pickup configuration.
  12. That transparent red is very nice. Might have to have a look around t'internet to find some in stock.
  13. There was a very good interview on Scott's Bass Lessons with Blu DeTiger about a year ago. As I said, I quite like her music, even if I am 55. Did anyone see her Fender promotional video with the Signature Bass? It's worth a watch in order to get an idea of what it sounds like. The guy at Empire Music did a pretty good review of the bass too.
  14. Thanks, yes. It’s a lovely instrument. I can’t comment on the current Chinese ones, as I haven’t played one, but I’d imagine they aren’t a patch on these hand crafted early ones from the Vietnamese workshop.
  15. Thanks Binky - I didn't know that. I'll leave it a couple of days before bumping it up again. Thanks for info. 😃
  16. I tried a couple of high end Fenders, brand new and just delivered to Andertons a while back (I think one was the launch model of the original American Ultra Jazz, and the other was the active Flea Bass), and both were utterly unplayable from the factory.
  17. Mine has disowned me.
  18. That red Aerodyne is lovely. I've always had a thing for these and have played a few. There's just something about them.
  19. Sire have a habit of doing that to your brain and sense of values. I've had a few Sires, and of course, they usually end up being trade-in fodder for more expensive instruments, but they are good. My most recent one was one of the 2nd Gen Ash V7's and as a backup bass to my American Original Jazz, it was easily as good, if a little punchier with the preamp. I think you sometimes have to end up taking money out of the equation and just accept that a good bass is a good bass, no matter how much it does or doesn't cost.
