I like the look of a pick up cover on my Jazz but I want to try it before I start drilling, is there a way to temporarily stick it on?

I have av 2 string bass and it's awesome, just E and A with the A being where the D usually would be you can pick it SO hard. On the point of this post I don't get on with 5's but I understand why people use them so they can move vertically instead of horizontally.
