1. have a bump from me too mate! yup, that's my lovely bass - in a good hands. wish you good luck with the sale! cheers!
2. woooow!!! what a bass! not fan of PJ configuration tho, but this is a stunning bass! sadowsky quality is one of a kind. good luck with a sale!
3. thank you for your comments chaps! it is a custom colour (Gold) I ordered from a pro luthier - the bass came to me with stripped original colour and has been coloured very poor in black. here's more pics of the "colour history"... bass came like that: neck heel with date: I gave it to the luthier, removed the neck pick up and left it with the standard P bass pick up configuration, also ordered a nice black paint - Roger Waters style: after few years I got idea of a Goldie,so here it is: thanx again!
4. here's mine 1983. USA Made (Fullerton) Precision bass. it's light weight, around 4 kg (not sure if its swamp ash or alder) and obviously one piece maple neck. Di Marzio pick up, it's the old Di Marzio and from my experience, the best ones - very loud, very fat pick ups. I also upgraded the bass with bridge and pick up covers, aswell the Schaller vintage tuning keys ( but gladly will send the original ones ) DR LO Rider nickel strings and Fender de luxe gig bag. Asking 1100 euros which includes shipping on my cost via DHL (24-48 hours on your doorway,no questions asked) once money is on my bank account.
5. and one from me 73jazz! what a BEAUTY!!!
6. if you re interested...here's my 83' P bass ' conversion...also with DiMarzio (as someone mentioned - the Monster output pick ups!!!) hope you'll like it... it came with stripped original colour, and painted in black but badly..and with additional J pick up on the bridge i gave it to the luthier, ordering removal of a J pick up and a new black paint... after few years i got idea of a Goldie, and there it is... recently I bought a tort pickguard and a set of old rusty P bass pot caps... I just LOVE this thing, very light, comfy, with a really HUGE sound comin from DiMarzio. I had all kind of strings on it, from La Bella flats (jamerson set) was quite impressive and adorable, and now it's DR LO Riders Nickel - also a great ones! (sorry for hi jackin your thread bro and cheers!!!!)
7. always wondered how those maple fretless P basses sounds... a good find anyway!
8. there will be always "anything VS Fender" firestarters on duty
9.
I think you didn't understand me. It's the position that I don't like. I like playing somewhat closer to the bridge. I like my hand position and especially the tension of teh strings at that spot. If the P-bass pickup were placed 5-6cm closer to the bridge, I'd use it as a thumbrest (just as I do on a Stingray)... but it wouldn't sound like a P-bass then
I understood prefectly, thats why I said that. when I place my thumb on the pup cover ( I dont talk about pick up itself, but the metal chrome vintage pick up cover), my fingers very naturally can play closer to the bridge or pup. (and no, I am not The Incredible Hulk.)
10. funny you dont find pick up cover usefull for that matter. i use it like thumbrest - looks more natural and feel is good.
11. cantbelievenoonewantsitfor1600 bump
12. I dont know him personally and not really interested in his "cockness"...we'd be surprised how many of the famous and brilliant bass players are /were cocks (if this kinda language is allowed)
13.
What a cock! I really can't stand the guy. I really don't rate him as a bassist either....
you're either in bad mood or far out to be rated as a bassist aswell
