For me, these are one of the most beautiful bass designs on the planet. Especially with the headstock. (Personally, I'd love a Flamboyant 6'er, too 😵😊). GLWTS!

Hi, I got the plate from Amazon. I posted details and a link (it's only a couple of posts above your one) but here's the link again:

And then however many weeks later… on Thursday, 3/4 of my thumbnail dropped off. On the bright side it looks like it’s growing a new one underneath… seems like a three or so other nails are on the way… 🙄
Whoa! Hope it's not too long before things are back to normal. And if I may just add... Good luck with the nail!

'Tis a thing of beauty! GLWTS. 👍😎👍

Another ex-EB2d owner here, I bought mine from Sound City (in Shaftesbury Avenue) back around the early to mid-70s. I brought it back to the store a while later to have it completely refinished in blonde with black binding. Their luthier Sam Li did the work. As much as I was pleased with the result I did move it on a short time after to fund another bass. I don't have the serial number but I often wondered what happened to that bass...?
The bass for sale here looks every bit as nice as I remember mine when I bought it. GLWTS. 👍

Ah, the wonder of Basschat! I make that 6 hours from when @vmaxblues posted the ad to when @Chris Stitt pulled the trigger. Congrats to both. 👍😎👍
(yep, I realize other sales may have completed quicker 😊)

Well if there is an upside to me pulling out because of my knee, me and the wife (plus mother in law) are all positive for COVID, so I'd probably have infected a few of you...
Well, I'll take that as an upside to my not being able to make it either. 😉
Wishing you all a speedy recovery. 👍🤞

Hi mate I’m afraid I can take no credit for organising this bash so best for Colin to come back to you on that one. It looks like another great event. Unfortunately I was way up in Aberdeen at the time!
No worries, Chris. I'll check back with Colin. Yes indeed, another good bash judging by the pics

Many thanks to those folks who have posted pics and video so far. Only thing is, I'm feeling even more gutted that I couldn't make it to the bash. (No car - see my earlier post).
Some excellent gear as usual and as someone who is still using old school Trace Elliot, I think @Merton's new TE head is something I will be checking out - once I get my eyes back in their sockets!
Roll on next year!
@Hamster & @ped, I did send you a PM t'other day but not sure if you may have spotted it yet. I appreciate you've been busy ). -
I'm totally gutted but it looks like I may not make it on Sunday.
A few weeks ago my car was badly damaged when it was hit and forced off the road by a stolen car during a police chase. (It wasn't me ociffer!). The bottom line is, my car was written off and I've yet to find a suitable replacement. There's still a couple of days and if I find something I'll be there. If not, have a good one y'all and I'll look forward to seeing Silvia's pics afterwards.
Cheers, Steve x- 1

Interesting thread and as I read through all six pages, many of the female bass players I would have mentioned, were already mentioned. Except Marta Altesa! (I think):
