1.
Is this a UK model (i.e. no power transformer required?)
Yes !
2. SOLD ! Brilliant head - love it to bits, but it's only getting used as a back-up and now GAS has kicked in and I'm considering buying a new No1, thus... http://www.swrsound....ts/headlite.php It's a tiny little thing that has so much scope and tone. Comes with full gig bag and foot switch. I could be tempted with PX's such as LH basses, Line6 Bass Pod Pro XT's or an Orange AD200. Based near Chester - any potential buyers are welcome to try.
3. Thomann do their harley-benton stuff short scale, LH and cheap... http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_pb_shorty_lh_bk_std_series.htm I seem to recall getting a Hofner (Icon ?) 500/1 from them a few years ago around £200 - cheap and it had the kudos of being a Hofner (if thats your thing).
4. Fender did knock out shorter scale mustangs (and possibly musicmasters) during the mid/late 70's, these tend to pop up now and then and are slightly more affordable than full scale similar era models. Without upsetting the hardcore lefty massive - I've previously used a short scale Gibson EB bass upside down - and would have no fear of buying an Epiphone EB and using it until something more suitable becomes available.
5. ...some positives - thank you.
6. Bump - anyone shed any light ?!!!! I'm feeling a little less than convinced about this product judging from the lack of online reference material from any sources (or a manual), I'd have thought MB would have done more to push this 10 months on. Maybe they've got cold feet or the next NAMM is about to drop something else...?
7. Great player. Love his work with Heaven 17.
8. Yes looks good ! Bit worried about any import charges on top as well !!!
9. I'll pass on the Warwick - thanks for the offer though !
10. Suddenly I feel like the kiss of death for Amp manufacturers, Eden, SWR now GB. Must buy shares in Man U.
11. 2013 Status King Bass 4 Std. I can't sell this, it's too good !!!
12. Sold - thanks !
13. Sold - please delete thanks.
14.
I'll see what I can get from the guys at MSL...
Cheers ! I'm just intrigued, used to do the pod pro into power amp many many years back...
15. Anyone got any more info/videos/manuals on this ? Had a quick look - not too much out there.
16. I loved it so much that I ended up getting a full SVT classic / 8x10 set up. Pubs around Chester and Wrexham loved me for that. Sadly that never really captured the aggression of the 2 piece rack set-up ! Is that a recently announced new V-4B ? Sounds like a plan.
17. More shipwreck than relic.
18. ...had to laugh, I was the original owner of this set-up before I sold it to Shaggy - didn't realise it ended up back in North Wales ! Monstrous tone when all put together, back-breaking weight !
19. Once upon a time I had these 2... Black was a distributor loan and the Creme was my custom order matching h/s, clay dots.
20. Had one of these long time ago, eventually gave body and neck away but kept the p/u's and attached electrics and eventually sold them on Ebay for circa £100 !!! Mental.
21.
is the cab still for sale?
Sold soz.
22.
Well we gave as much notice as we could, and it's working well so far. I guess we'll see. In the meantime please don't sell stuff in this thread as it's a clear breach of the new T&Cs. Thanks ped
No worries.
23. Don't get me wrong, and I'm not against contributing (which I have previously) and I understand the logistics of maintaing such a forum, but isn't this a vicious circle as we are the content ? As I mentioned earlier, I'm slightly gutted that I wasn't aware of any changes due and would have maybe contributed an opinion.
24. ...it's an edit to an earlier post I accidentally deleted.
25.
Well, you could argue that every piece of kit is only attractive to a small audience - with the differences between any two basses becoming greater and greater, selling in a supportive and knowledgeable community like BC has never been more important. Left handed players have less options, so you may well find a buyer more quickly. At the end of the day, we like to think (along with you, I hope) that BC is more than just a place to sell gear, and the payment does more than let you access the marketplace; it keeps the site running and improving, weather you sell stuff here or not. Cheers ped
Fair enough, my fault for not paying attention or getting involved in any earlier discussions regarding the subscriptions. Good luck with the changes.
