  1. Super nice guy ! Lovely chat too. One of the best kept instruments I've bought on here! And strings too! What more can I say. Highly recommend buying from David 👍
  2. That mustang looks amazing. Might swap to supro out!
  3. Best episode so far imo. Nice interview, more of those please! Nice work guys.
  4. I picked up a EHX Bass Mono synth the other day, so far so good! Tracks as well as it needs to for the few sounds I need it for.
  5. Anyone have any tips / advice on particularly good companys to get a macbook from? Budget around £800.
  6. This is really cool. Shame about the look of it though, makes it look like a toy.
  7. How are people getting on with these in a live situation? Considering changing from the hx effects, I hardly touch the thing during a gig and have got my basic patch down to 5/6 blocks now too. Would like a smaller board!
  8. Ahh very tempting, unfortunately it would be a 2019 purchase for me. Sure you'll flog yours easily enough, they're great units.
  9. I put some cab impulses on my HX Effects, job done ! Been considering the stomp but I'd miss the extra footswitches too much, things like the looper and editing effects on the fly work so well with the HX Effects. Been thinking about trying an LT when people starting flogging theirs in favour of the little stomps...
  10. I'm really looking forward to reading people's thoughts on this once people start gigging it. I was using my hxfx for my main gig (straight to desk/pa set up) but have ended up back with the B3 as I only use two sounds for that band anyway, and I found just using an amp sim on the zoom a lot easier to set up, compared the the eq / drive block + cab IR set up on the hx. And the lack of master volume!
  11. Anyone else blown away by the gig last night ?!
  12. Wedding at the 'Ecology Pavillion' in Mile End last night. Awful room, set up facing glass windows, so loud. Managed to get a half decent sound (if a little quiet) and had a great gig after all.
  13. http://orchid-electronics.co.uk/micro.htm The absolute winner in small DI boxes imo.
  14. Bass direct to Leigh on sea is 2 hrs 30 according to Google maps, never actually been myself.
  15. That depends what you want the unit for. The HX is great for stomps/controlling a bigger pedalboard, and the extra switchesand effects loops add to to that use. If you're like me, and just need something for a pre / cab SIM and a couple of presets for a direct to board live rig... Then this looks like the better option .
  16. They certainly are. I still love the b3, replaced mine as I finally killed my first one, then started gigging it instead of my hx effects. I think I'll wait for the price to drop for this though... Made that mistake with the hx too.
  17. Damn. My hx effects will be getting replaced with this... Been going back to the Zoom B3 for simplicity / easy amp Sims, USB interface...then this comes along.
  18. Never had an issue, make sure you get a decent power supply with isolated outputs and you'll be fine.
  19. Price drop, £699 Got this is a trade a couple of months back, an awesome bass but I just don't have a use for it. In really nice condition for the age, plays perfectly - also recently restrung with D'addario nickels (45-130). Collection / meet up only. I'm in Leigh on sea, Essex. Bass is available to try out (and buy) at Leigh Music co, in Leigh on Sea.
  20. I want one. Loads of money but this ticks all the boxes.

  22. Totally different type of gig last night. First 'No Data Improvisation Orchestra' event at a studio in Southend. Organised by the guitarist (the only guy I actually knew) , got together in the day to set up , get levels, have a little jam. Then in the evening invited a small audience to watch us play and record. Totally improvised, was a lot of fun to let lose and play. Can't wait to listen to the recordings. Hopefully not long until the next one, plan to do it at a venue and have a bigger audience.
