1. The Bridge cover should cover the bridge pickup it's been mounted too close to the end of the body. The USA reissues come without the cover fitted (unlike the custom shops) so it looks like someone has fitted the bridge cover in the wrong place..... A clumsy mistake but not then end of the world, after all who's gonna play the Bass with the bridge cover on ? Mark
 2. Hi Guys, With some major regret I'm selling my Fender Jazz Custom shop 1970 Ltd Ed, This is the 2nd example of this rare instrument i've owned, I regretted selling the first one so much I bought another....... This is the Jazz Bass to end all Gas for Jazz Basses...... What a 1970's Jazz bass should have been, lightweight swamp ash body with the highest standard of construction you'll ever see on any Fender Jazz Bass ( I owned a Mark Kendrick 66 Masterbuild and to be honest it wasn't as good as this in terms of playability and tone) So Why am I selling it ? Well i've got no doubt i'll regret it, but I want to hang my hat on 1 bass and just use it, get to know it and progress as a player instead of chopping and changing and adjusting to new gigging instruments constantly..... I think listing my basses on another thread (over 80) has brought me to my senses.... i'm ashamed really !! I'm going to hang my hat on my Lakland for both bands, it's a real swiss army knife of tone..... Not as good as a good Jazz or Ray but close enough, and i've got big hands so the slightly bigger neck profile suits more than the Jazz in fairness.... See fender site for details........... Pics to follow when the light is better http://www.fender.com/customshop/instrumen...rtno=9270000288 Cheers Mark

 7. +1 (Actually +2) for OBBM's products & Service...... When I made a mistake on a length he remade the cable for me at cost of postage....... Now that's service for you... I use Monster cables and rate them highly, but will be replacing all my cables with OBBM's as they fail or wear out !
 8. +1 for OBBM sales, products & service outstanding
 9.
OK Guys, lots of interest in this one and a firm offer from the first enquiry and so I am putting this on hold on the assumption that he will have it off me. If anything changes I will mod the post. Thanks Steve
Thank God for that...... ! I was busy working out if the stuff we'd sorted out for the charity shop at the weekend might actually be worth something
 10.
To be honest the one I sold you before wasn't far off. I am tone deaf anyway so the subtleties of different pick ups are lost on me :-) Reminds me of a sound check a few months ago when I was purring on about the sound of my Sadowsky and I looked at our guitarist and said "Listen to that, isn't it great?". His reply was "Sounds like a bass to me" :-) Steve
Guitarists, no wonder we call them behind their backs !! Next time he's blithering on about DSL's TSL's this pedal and that pedal just say "I can't hear the difference it's all distorted mate.... " Please Please Please, somebody buy this before I start checking in cupboards for stuff to sell on ebay !!
