2. Sold my ACG on to Carlos - fantastic guy to deal with - straight as a straight thing! Highly recommended. cheers Shaun
3. Lots of praise, a bit of interest, but still-for-sale-type-bump...
4. £1,000 + p+p - No trades I have to free up some dosh for a new project - so my Finn is very reluctantly up for sale. Very good condition. I bought it from bobpalt, who had the bass built as a custom order. Since then it has been over to John East who fitted a U-Retro (from John: "a variation on a U-Retro 4 Knob Deluxe in order to take care of the piezo. A piezo circuit would be required, which includes a piezo/mag mixer circuit.") The U-Retro was £217.50 and the Piezo/Mab Circuit and mods an further £37.50. This has certainly brought a fantastic dimension to the bass, but, being a simpleton, still way too much technology for this bass-numpty, who loves a simple life (well a J and P-bass with East pre-amps)... it's just a lovely piece of furniture these days :-( From Bob's sale thread: "It's an unbelievably good bass, one of Alan's best I think (and it was much praised at a Moffat bass bash a while back), having the benefit of a powerful RFB pickup and a Hipshot piezo bridge, so you can get a phenomenal range of tones and blended sounds. In addition, there are SIMs amber leds fitted to the neck, which were then wired up by Alan (not after market additions). The body is light Swamp Ash, with a 4mm Wenge accent, and an Okoume top, and the neck (which is asymmetrical) is 3 laminates of flamed maple, with a fabulous acrylic impregnated flamed lava Bubinga fingerboard. Strap locks, gloss finish and all black hardware complete the picture." An awesome bass... which comes with a Hiscox hard case. 5. Just traded my US Lakland for his Sandberg Custom and some dosh - all extremely easy from a true gent - highly recommended! cheers ShaunB
6. 4 stings, jazz type thingies... but need to free up some dosh.
7. Pre-Xmas "happy ho-hos" stylie bump type thang...
8. Let's go round again... One more time...
9. ...tell them that one of the good bits is that it has a stereo line out into the desk...
10. Thanks for the endorsement - but, sadly, no takers as yet...
11. Needs must, so... any takers/offers (sensible considered). Go on you know you deserve an early Chrissie pressie...
12. Bump for a December price drop... no interest? (may consider 4 strings of interest...)
13. Thanks for the advice, but, sadly, it has to go...
14. Indeed it is… served me well, but times change.
15. Price drop: [s]£1,550[/s]... > £1,400.00! One week only! Up for grabs is my Lakland 4-94. Tobacco sunburst with a beautiful bird's eye maple neck. Serial Number 298 which dates it to 1998 - way before Dan Lakin sold to Hanson. The bass has been updated to the Hanson LH3 pick-ups and pre-amp. I still have the Barts and Bartolini preamp which will go with the bass. The neck is one of the best I have ever played and, with a regular degrease with an orange oil concentrate, is smooth as a smooth thing (as recommended by Dan Lakin hisself, for it was he). I'll throw in a new set of Lalkand Formula-G 45-105 Stainless Roundwounds on and courier her for around an extra £20-25 Insured (at cost). Any questions, ask away...
