1. Just traded my US Lakland for his Sandberg Custom and some dosh - all extremely easy from a true gent - highly recommended! cheers ShaunB
2. 4 stings, jazz type thingies... but need to free up some dosh.
3. Pre-Xmas "happy ho-hos" stylie bump type thang...
4. Weekend deal time :-)
5. Let's go round again... One more time...
6. ...tell them that one of the good bits is that it has a stereo line out into the desk...
7. Thanks for the endorsement - but, sadly, no takers as yet...
8. Needs must, so... any takers/offers (sensible considered). Go on you know you deserve an early Chrissie pressie...
9. Bump for a December price drop... no interest? (may consider 4 strings of interest...)
10. Thanks for the advice, but, sadly, it has to go...
11. Indeed it is… served me well, but times change.
12. Price drop: [s]£1,550[/s]... > £1,400.00! One week only! Up for grabs is my Lakland 4-94. Tobacco sunburst with a beautiful bird's eye maple neck. Serial Number 298 which dates it to 1998 - way before Dan Lakin sold to Hanson. The bass has been updated to the Hanson LH3 pick-ups and pre-amp. I still have the Barts and Bartolini preamp which will go with the bass. The neck is one of the best I have ever played and, with a regular degrease with an orange oil concentrate, is smooth as a smooth thing (as recommended by Dan Lakin hisself, for it was he). I'll throw in a new set of Lalkand Formula-G 45-105 Stainless Roundwounds on and courier her for around an extra £20-25 Insured (at cost). Any questions, ask away...
13. Traded a Lakland JO for Jay's P-bass - great guy, fab comms, easy, painless deal. Highly recommended. cheers, Shaun
14. Sold Stuart a TC Helicon monitor - simples! Highly recommended chap.
15. If it's not getting used it should be moved on. I have gigged this puppy for a year and more and to my surprise I received a US Fender Jazz in a trade and haven't put it down. Lakland JO: P/J, Sparkly green with matching headstock - the only ding is a small knock on the bottom of the head - pictured. Other than that - sumptuous. Stacked pots - tone/volume. So, it has to go - if you like Lakland's (buttery) jazz necks and the flexibility of a P/J configuration, then this is right up your street. I may be interested in a trade - but only a Fender P. OK, the story is: Lakland wanted to make a limited edition run for Jamiroquai's Paul Turner. They built a bass to his spec, sent it over, he does some recording with it, but prefers his Fender and moves it along - probs over £4,000 worth of custom bass as a special order (according to Macko who priced it up on the Lakland website, and who I bought it from). Comes with a nice cream Lakland case - P+P £25.00 insured to your door. Any questions, ask away. Der pics:
16. 2 cents: LMT800 + Midget (and Compact should it be needed) = clear, crisp sound. Have to agree the LMT is mids-heavy - but I like that - I always seemed to be missing mids in the past - this did the job. Barefaced (IMO) certainly punch out what you put into them - have a bump.
17. Sunny Poole (or cool, draughty Poole this morning) - the one "dahn sarf" (as opposed to the one up near you)
18. Back up for sale...
19. It really is good - seems very directional. Our drummer uses one about 2 feet from his mic aimed directly at his lug hole and it's plenty loud enough...
20. Again, we've got one of these for sale in good nick - couple of very minor scratches, nothing serious. Comes with the "top hat" type screw fixing for your mic stand or monitor stand and kettle lead. P+P £10.00 More here: <link> Any questions, ask away. cheers, ShaunB
