Hi, I dont know why the previous owner took the active pre out - it's what makes this bass stand out (plus with the eq flat, it sounds like a passive jazz anyway!) I thought ALL 1996 models had the 50th anniversary sticker on the back of the headstock - yours may have 'come off'? have a look at the serial numbers - 96 models start with N6**** - 97 would be N7**** etc. Great sounding bass - fingerboard fairly wide but small, lighter body.

very, very weird and ultimately pointless. why not put all 5 strings on one neck 0r have fretted and fretless necks. extremely strange but have a novelty bump!!

I'm not interested in [u]ANY[/u] other cab. it's basically a NY151 cab with a combo amp (same as LMII) fitted. 6 years old but in great nick. sounds immense but I really want to have the amp separate to use with other cabs for different situations.. unfortunately, the removable combo amp does not have a top/lid when its out so...looking to change for a separate amp - Little Mark II or III or LMTube- plus cab. trade value on the combo around £600 - they are £975 new if you can find them. so, anyone....??
