  1. Yeah, there's only the two bands playing. It's a home crowd for us but several comments here have confirmed my views about death by support band !!😁 The main band is Rhino's Revenge and we are a Quo tribute, so hoping it will be a great night!
  2. Well, we're doing a lot of promoting ourselves we instigated the gig. We're a tribute band and so the back catalogue isnt a problem! The main band is on for 90 minutes. Some of our band want to play for 75 minutes, some for less - just trying to get a consensus. We can play for 75 mins as we organised the gig, but somehow that feels a lot compared to the main band. I know that for 99% of the gigs that I've been to nearly everyone is waiting for the main band to come on.
  3. My little band has been invited to be a support act for a much more well known band. What are your thoughts about the set length for a band playing support?
  4. Details here, keep 'em peeled https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=453391991659144&id=100009650420844
  5. I make the string spacing approx 17mm, and I'm not looking for trades. Cheers
  6. My first Big Twin II cover was bought from Roqsolid. It lasted about a year and the stitching gave way and the lining fell apart from the outer cover. I only play around 40 gigs a year. The handle cut-outs were slightly off too. I bought another one from Roqsolid, the handle cut-outs were better, the cover seemed better made but the cover is approx 1.5" too long so the bottom edge drags as the cab is tilted on its castors and pulled along. I don't see a Hot Covers product listed for Barefaced?

  8. Hi peeps I've seen something I fancy so am putting out a feeler for this bass as I have to have a one-in-one-out policy! Arrgghhhh! It's lovely, very good condition, active bass with a piezo pickup on the bridge with wonderful woody tones. Quilted maple laminate top and laminate "guitar top" body with graphite wrapped neck. Ridiculously light, comes with a gig bag. Currently running on pretty new flats. Pictures here: - https://www.flickr.com/gp/149885533@N02/5E5A8y £1350 ono

  13. Upon reflection, and with the excuse for a cheeky bump, I think I may have overpriced this. I think £80 is more realistic.
