4.
Hi Folks My '73 Fender Telecaster Bass, I have decided to sell. (see attached photos) To finance a Bass rig purchase. I bought this Bass in '83 for its deep tone (Humbucker on neck), as I am a Reggae Bassman. When I bought it, it had a white scratchplate. I replaced it with a black one which really suits it. Apart from that it is all origenal. A solid no-nonsense Bass in perfect working order. A rare item indeed. £1400 ono. Tom (Dubby) O'Malley Tel : 01205 260611 or 07973 789790
Do you still have the original white scratch plate??
 5.
Folks, I have been offered my dream bass, a lovely custom Wal from a decent chap on here. I am really after a fretless Wal and due to their rarity and vastly inflated prices as new (£5k!) I was wondering about getting a decent pro Luthier to de-fret the neck and turn it into a lined fretless possibly even getting Electric wood to do it. Am I mad? should I just keep waiting for a fretless? am I stealing a decent fretted from the world? Thoughts? Steve.
Speak to Paul (at Wal) about this as the woods are an important feature to the fretless sound. He's your best starting point
 6. Same here, no error messages, just loose all the banners, member details and just locks up really
 7. Not so sure on the price you are looking at, but was it specifically a MK1 you were looking for, as this was up for sale a short while ago http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
 8.
Hey, is this too dear? Speak up, make me an offer we are all friends here.
Great looking bass, maybe its just the time of year and all that..... ?? I'll PM you
 9. Just received some bridge parts for my 78 P Bass and i'm well pleased, thanks very much
 10.
Its getting easier slowly. That low F is still a toughie but even that is coming along as I get more evenly balanced in the left hand fingering. The buzz is not in the results you hear per se but in the fact that I can do all that without any tears! So far, so good!
So.... Now you have migrated to the upright, you'll not be needing that Wal anymore......Come on, hand it over Good playing and some good ideas. Your bass has a nice tone also, keep up the good work!!
 11.
Well, the price is too high? OK, make an offer !
Have a look at this link and this may provide some info for you http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=69341
 12.
Is it me or is this an absolute bargain? Especially with the Ricky situation at the mo! Wish i had a grand spare. BUMP!
What is the Ricky situation at the mo??
 13.
Well, I believe that adequate offer is around £ 3000, Thanks.
I feel this may be a little high!!
 14. Ok.............
 15. Have i caused an uproar with my unintentional sense of humour bypass, or is it that i cant read.....or maybe both....
 16.
The seller stated he wanted 2K... if you want to make an offer, make an offer via PM. Chatting about it on the thread ain't the BC way.
Quite right, read it that the seller should remain silent about the price....Sorry
 17. But surely the seller will have a price in mind, and as a buyer we all ask that question first. If its in the open, it avoids a Dutch auction and anyway, then it will be up to the potential buyer if they are interested to pursue it or not. The seller will just have to reply to many PM's rather than only those from interested parties.
 18.
I'm not that far from West Berks (NE Hants) but I don't really cover the techniques you're after. I could help with left hand but I don't do double slap etc
Jakebass, Where are you based?
 19.
Ok, that means I could take out the existing pre amp and use the Fishman, connected directly to the piezo under the bridge. Thanks for your help, brilliant.
ey old slapper you could do that if you ish I never had the choice, just piezo under the bridge. The fishman for me is great
 20. PM'd Re M-Audio interface
 21. No idea really, what is it??
 22.
Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but yes, people do like these basses, being based in Italy may be
I think its more a case of having funds rather than location......
