Thats not really what they are all about. We all watch this space with anticipation though.....
-
Its not really about hype, its about quality and reliability, and maintaining a solid reputation. I think the parties including myself who have been privvy to such information are just as excited about the situation as we all are (well Wal owners and players), and i think the information is just little and sparse, and i am sure that Paul is not telling people and then swearing them to secrecy. Time will show what the new Wal have to offer and i think they can only get better with any of their product in time. Wal certainly are not Apple Mac but really are right up there in terms of top bass builders etc.
-
I'm not sure its as easy as that. I am sure there are plans in place to get things geared towards production before making a big announcement then have the order books rammed and not have the ability to deliver the product. As Wal bases are so desireble i am sure they just want to be ready......I dont think its a double top secret, but a case of just getting things in the right order.

I have the 115 and although i like the sound and punch from a 212, with my basses i tend to get a slightly better clarity with the 115. That said, the 212 is a great cab as i had one on trial for a while from Bernie Goodfellow. I just thought that you might attract better attention if you were to drop the price a bit more than a fiver.....thats all, no offence meant...

Not sure if this company has been covered yet.....I have just taken receipt of two new 4 inch wide leather and suede bass guitar straps. I purchased them from a company called Italia Straps in the US. They were having a 2 for one deal on at the time and it is still on now, and I have to say, they are great and my strap search stops right here. Their communications are a little sporadic but they were dispatched when promised and also arrived when promised using a Global courier. Check out their site as the thickness of the leather used and suede for comfort, in my opinion are excellent. Here is the link to their site http://www.italiastraps.com/ Steve

I would be very cautious in these kind of situations. The vintage and rare shop in Bath had an original Entwistle Jazz bass in stock for sale of course. It was from his collection and was considered to have been in since around mid 70's and was being offered at 34k or there abouts poss two years ago?? It was featured in a book called "Bass Culture - The John Entwistle Collection". so had some documentary historical evidence of sorts. Of course you could take a punt at a couple of hundred quid on the bass and who knows, you could be in possession of a more valuable instrument, who knows....??
I'm really not sure what to do, should I just try to find a local tech to take the poweramp to? Or just wait to see what paypal do? No amp means no band practice, I could just get a new poweramp in the meantime, like the Samson servo 600 (anyone know if that is okay?), but I am really worried about getting new stuff now that I've had a rubbish experience (and I'm pretty skint this month!). Hoping to borrow something for a gig I have tomorrow from other bands playing it. And to make it all worse, my backup amp died the other day, so now have to rush to try to get that fixed under warranty whereas I thought I would be able to take my time (sure it'll take a while anyway), but the shop it's from have always seemed good and Korg who do the distro said they would get it picked up etc.
Take the advice from JTUK and go the ebay route first and get a possible return with the seller
Hey all, I've got some pedals I'm looking to sell. I've not taken any pics, but can do if anyone is interested. I can also do sound samples. Hughes & Kettner Warp Pedal - Incredible metal distortion, capable of serious bass. Comes with power supply. Tech 21 Tri-OD - 3 Sansamp Distortion/Overdrives/Amp models in one box. You get Tweed (Fenderish), Calif (Mesaish) and British (Marshallish) sounds. The pedal also has very flexible active bass and treble controls. It is great into an amp, or into a PA/Recording equipment. Danelectro Pastrami Overdrive - Its ok, better than you'd think!. Alesis ModFX Smashup - Very flexible/weird compressor, can really do a huge range of sounds. Includes power supply Alesis ModFX Ampliton - Really cool tremolo effects box. Again, crazy flexible. Includes power supply. Behringer Hellbaby Wah - Switchless wah with loads of options
Can you add some prices to your list?

Well i would settle for anything really as long as i didnt have to pay pounds for dollars
Depends why you're doing it. If it's for the fame / money / girls / drugs / glory (delete as applicable) then yup, give it up. If it's because you enjoy doing it, then does it really matter if you play to 5 people, or 50, or 500? There are loads of musicians who'd love to have played the Grey Horse. Including me.
I echo the above, check the reasons why you play then make the decision
