PBDDI with SVT-4

My paradriver is redundant!! lolz! - I would however use it as suggested above! - Use it to add more drive / dirty to your signal, like a distortion pedal,
2. My GAS couldn't wait for the looperlative pedal... but I can't wait to see the spec!
3.
... unless you are the bass playing terminator known as Dood
Can I get a HELL YEAH! (or that wierd noise that Predator makes... what a lil cutey! ha ha!!)
4.
also what people views on the boss loop station? andy
I chose the digitech as it has far more options than the loop RC-20XL and I really didn't want another big pedal board like the RC-50.
5. Hi Guys!!! Sorry, have been away from BC for a day or so. Well, I can tell you the JamMan arrived this am!! It can reverse - and you can time morph (faster and slower) - so not *just* half speed. Indeed in some of the demo videos, the chap demonstrates how you can use the pedal with the CD/MP3 player input to slow down tracks without changing the pitch, in order to learn those difficult passages of music. AND it works! Nice!
6. Anyone want to fill in my post for me? You know what I'm gonna say!!!! I adore the Hartke 4.5XL cabs. I used to run two with an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro. I now own the LH1000 with a pair of HyDrive 410's. Brilliant bits of kit - and I am expecting the rig to show up with me on Channel 4 in coming weeks! I'll keep you posted when it's due to happen. My danveall.com pic!
7. Moving it now....
8.
You are also welcome to view the PM I got from this scammer. Just don't look at the ones I've had from, Keira Knightly Yvonna Strahotski Natalie Imbruglia Neve Campbell Laetitia Casta Jennifer Love Hewit Estelle Skornik Alicia Silverstone Billie Piper Debbie Gibson Marget Thatcher (Don't ask, its a long story, complicated and could cost me thousands)
Blimey! These spammers will even use innocent women's names to try and snag us!!! lol lol
9. Hey James! Very enjoyable! Had me tapping ma hoof all the way!
10. Hey matey, Have a word with Jon - I know one of his own circuits is more power hungry than most - I understand it's a trade off for the design he has used. However, you might have a problem if it is a different preamp in there. Typically, I only need to change my batteries in my EMG circuit once a year. In fact, if they need it or not - I do what Dave 'OBBM' once suggested. He changes them on his birthday, so he doesn't forget!!
11. Bit of a mellow afternoon with Johnny Cash (cover tunes, such as Hurt, Personal Jesus, One etc) and Ray Lamontagne!

Tecamp

Very nice indeed. I owned a couple of cabs when Tec-Amp were known as Tech SoundSystems. Absolutely brilliant. Big and authoritative tone despite being light as a feather. Nice rig!
13. I'll lock this post and let it die I think. It's not really serving any purpose.
14. Dood is about the Bass Hey guys! Ha ha!! it's funny, before I scrolled down after the OP - I was just going to post that there is a band called Cilice (The singer has recently left to join the awesome Textures) - who tune their guitars that low that they don't bother with a Bass Player! Live shows still have the guts and meat and I didn't miss the bass guitar! Not exactly what you want to hear I guess. When face with some seriously low tuning I have, as above, just tuned lower! My seven string, very kindly posted in a pic by my good friend Simon, is tuned to F# below B of a 5 string. The string is a massive .175 gauge and is a total beast given the 1000W of the Hartke stack it is relaxing against. In your situation, it seems to me that as well as your guitarists tuning really low, they are EQing their guitars with too much bass as well? Now in real terms, that's not the best way forward. Especially playing live. The result will be too much bottom end and noise on stage making instruments become indistinct and harder for everyone to monitor themselves. I think some thought in to shaping the sound of each of the instruments so that they fit in the mix will help your bass fit in a lot better and be heard in the registers you need/want to be playing in. The result will actually be a tighter fatter sound making the band sound far stronger as a unit and not just a low end durge that confuses the engineer and ultimately the paying punters. Another idea for you - if you have lots of synth and low guitars - why not concentrate on singing lead lines instead? Peter Hook made a career out of it!
15. Hmmm!! How strange! I've been using Chrome for about 6 month and am on here (dare I say it) virtually every day. I wonder if there is a plugin that is interacting with Chrome, as opposed to Chrome itself that is causing the rash? For example, flash player, shockwave, skype, adobe, ebay, JAVA or something similar? As boring as it sounds, I would suggest properly uninstalling Chrome and any apps the interact with it and reinstall them with the latest versions. Good luck!
16.
The ISP Technologies Decimator is a bit of an industry standard where noise reduction in pedal form comes in, pricey but worth iti for the results. On the cheaper side, Boss have the NS-2, which from what I have heard also does the job nicely. Probably check ebay for a good deal on one of those second hand.
I had a Decimator noisegate on my ISP Beta preamp - yes, it's very good! - If you use a compressor in your rig, then I highly recommend getting a TC Electronic Nova Dynamics compressor pedal that has a noisegate on it as well. It's rather good! You could then retire your compressor and have one box with both compressor and noisegate in. ( I definitely subscribe to having as few separate boxes in the signal chain!)
17. I've managed to bag a cheap stereo JamMan off the bay. It was a bit of a bargain, so I thought I'd grab it whilst I can. I look forward to giving it some abuse!
18.
He's up there with the best of them. I've not heard what he got up to since finishing with Queen and retiring. He hasn't done interviews. Can anyone shed some light on his post Queen life?
He lives in a south westerly part of the UK and "has left the music business altogether". - I reckon he might have a few pennies to his name to enjoy in retirement too!!
19.
I liked his playing....But if he carried on up the scale on that track, he would have wrote THE most recognisable bassline ever. 'Goodtimes' Good stuff though. Garry
As I understand it, Mr Deacon was in the studio when Chic were recording said track. It inspired him to write AOBTD - to which he then recorded the track, playing bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, piano and well - I guess some sort of percussion. Later the hand claps and drums were added as a loop. Though I think there are many varying versions of this story! p.s. John is god
20. Thank you so much for checking - I really appreciate it! Ok,I think I know what the problem with the videos are. Some are hosted on another facebook page that probably *do* have security settings. I think my best option is as I have planned, to host all my videos on my YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DoodTheVoid then link them to my Dood On Bass facebook page. That means the videos willl be available for those who don't use facebook at all.
21. Love love love!!!! Beautiful!
22.
Is it Facebook only or will there be other means of accessing it for those of us yet to be assimilated by the collective?
It appears I can view the page without logging in, so yeah I reckon you can too!
23. In coming weeks I will be adding free videos, free tuition notes and a whole host of Bass related gubbins to my new 'Official Facebook Bass Page' You can find me directly with the link http://www.danveall.com Fangkew for reading [/blatant personal advertising]
24.
Fairly sure at this point that this guy is posting these threads and not reading them. Still not figured what he is hoping to achieve. They are quite bizarre.
Yes, looking at the rather random posting and the even more random content I'm somewhat baffled too! Come on Mark, what's it all about?
25. Cool, cool - consider it archived then
