  8. Evenin' I'm getting a new head and cab, upgrading my existing Laney RBW300. However, I'm getting the head first as I've yet to decide on a cab. My question is, how would I go about bypassing the inbuilt laney amp in the combo, and using the new head with the 1x15 speaker? Is this possible? If so, what cables do I need. If it's not possible then I'll either be part exing the amp or just whacking it on the for sale/trade board on here. It's served me well but it's time to upgrade Here's some pics of the front and back inputs, which I wasn't sure of when I posted the question in my 'opinions...' thread.. Any help appreciated as always, you guys awesome I love you aaaall. mwah Having looked at the inputs I'm not hopeful it's actually possible.. but alas..

His logic was 'the laws of physics say that bigger speakers are louder, so you want bigger speakers.'

  12. I currently use a Laney RBW300 165w combo which has served me well for a number of years. Gorgeous sound and has survived living in a house with 2 kids so it must be bomb proof... Would recommend Laney anytime. They're cheap too
  13. Had a mooch round a local guitar shop today for further research and was told that I should be looking at bigger speakers rather than 4x10s etc and promptly got pointed in the direction of a 2x15 £1000 job by peavey it was nearly as tall as me

  20. Thanks for letting me know but sadly its rack mounted so wouldn't be interested. Cab looks good though. Still up for the deal though. Don't mind putting in a bit of cash on top towards a case for you though. Not sure if Karl would go halves on a case with me or something?

The trouble is for the intro bit to me it sounded like 123 123 1234 but granted my understanding of timings written down etc isn't great however the bassist plays that through once and then starts playing something constantly, like 16ths or something, presumably along the same timing lines but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I am listening through headphones but my laptop is rubbish for bass!! Far too trebley. Going to burn a CD for the car I think with it on.
