1. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!! I got a Distinction, 91%! DOUBLE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOP! Having a chaotic week at work, so this came just in time.... f**k yeaaaaa
2. I'm learning tapping atm in my lesson and finding that I'm prone to cramp while I'm building my stength up. I'm doing a good 20 min warm up but it's just building up the strength required for tap at the mo so keep getting it. Does anyone have any advice or tips? Is it best to play through it or rest?
3. I've got mine insured through... uh... oh god I've forgotten! Norwich Union? Aviva? Feck. Either way it was really cheap and I got free DNA tracing stuff. Bargain
4. I've only heard of one Attack Attack band.. am I missing something? Congrats though that's fab
5.
Look at it this way - It's got to be better than gambling, drinking, taking drugs, or... WOMEN!
Oi!
6. Yes, because I don't like stingrays
7. My local music shop don't do ANY 5er strings, let alone fretless. I have to order everything online.
8. I haven't got the money for GAS atm! The gas is still there.. but I can't give in to it
9.
They're cut for a StingRay, though, so if it's a normal-style P neck (4-in-a-row tuners), the G won't reach.
Ah good point! Bum.
10. I haven't got any of the parts, but I have 2 sets of flatwound strings donated to me by bottomendian, failing that I'd happily chuck a tenner in towards the cost of repairing it.
11.
I would hope there aren't too many on here who honestly believe their clever use of a pentatonic minor scale will stop the war in Afganistan... but you never know!?
Maybe not, but apparently Osama bin Laden is quite a fan of Chromatics.
12. All I want to achieve is To be able to play well enough that I'm happy with my standard To be able to write creatively To be able to use a variety of techniques and be decent at them To continually learn To continually LOVE playing To write music that others will enjoy and to be able to play live, even if I don't make money from it. I'm not into bass for fame and fortune. I play bass because I LOVE to play bass.
13. One day when I get round to it I'll post something to show off my 'chops'... lol
14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laOacfROVsk Short, sweet and not particularly exciting, but one of my favourite little bass intros ever
15.
Not such a clever dick then... in your opnion Sarah?
Not saying that... just mainly that he's missing an opportunity to beat his skins... much unlike 99% of the male population I've met thus far Wait... that makes me sound like a whore
16. Not impressed. He's missed out the beat! Where's the drums!? Although not sure what else is left to use... apart from, well, that...
17.
An unsuccessful mutation of the bass guitar.
18.
What about Wishbasses?
They're just freaks of nature..
19.
The double bass is a member of the violin family. The bass guitar isn't.
True, but then what about fretless basses... they're more like double basses!
20. I always thought of it as a guitar, until someone said above about the double bass aspect... now I'm just confused, so I picked plonk
21. Depends what I'm play. Bright poppy for slap, deep and growly for rock, somewhere in the middle for everything else
