  1. I left a band because they wanted me to wear a wig, a common enough reason I suppose........
  2. I hope i'm not going to regret this too much but GAS is a horrible, terrible thing and a new project has come up that is shoving me towards a Fender..... So because of that here she is. A 2008 (i think) model that is in fantastic nick. There's the usual faint swirls and such and slight wear over the bridge but other than that the finish all good. Build quality, weight etc are all first rate. She's fitted with the Tone Pump pre amp and sounds big, loud and aggressive when needed... I've not had her long but has sounded amazing in the dozen or so gigs and rehearsals I've played... I'm very much open to trades and my wants list is a.... American Fender Jazz Bass American Fender P Bass Fender Roadworn P or Jazz Would also consider a LIMELIGHT P or J bass too.... If you have anything else, just ask me.... Im based on the Essex/East London border and would prefer a meet or a drop off to using a courier but a courier isn't out of the question. Any more questions or request for more pics then please just message me. 3. Ahhhhh The St Moritz... Played there twice, I don't want to go back for a third...... Terrible sound, terrible smell......
  4. Its with a very heavy heart that i'm putting this lady up for sale... Without doubt the best tone i have ever had, the best feel and the coolest looking guitar I've ever owned... However... For the last year or so I've been rehearsing/gigging 3 plus times a week in and around central London, through rush hours and all night tubes and on trains and buses and i just can't take the all the aggravation anymore. Travelling with her in a gig bag has reached crisis point and a incident with some 'happy' travellers on a packed tube last night tipped it for me. I need a more travel friendly bass...... i'm very sad to say. She is available with a Gibson hard case, the original three point bridge, there is a Hipshot bridge fitted at the moment, a Thomann gig bag, a tin of Gibson pics and she has just had a set of Ernie Ball Hybrids fitted to her. Cosmetically she has all the little dings and scratches you would associate with a gigged bass this age. Also there are a couple of marks where the lacquer has worn on the head stock (where she sits in a stand) and just by the rear strap button (from the strap itself). Photos can be made available if needed.... Trade wise, anything possibly Spector/Musicman.... or after having a think anything with a PJ pickup configuration perhaps...... I'm now open to suggestions.. More than willing to travel to drop her off. 6. Thoroughly recommend Bass Central......... Last time I was there I went in for strings but came out with a Spector...!!! So be careful.... 😃😃😃
  7. Thanks for all your replies, looks like a CTM-100 is now top of my shopping list....
  8. A question for all you valve amp users out there..... Im looking at getting my first valve head and the CTM-100 seems to fit the bill. Would 100 watts be enough to keep up with two loud guitarists and drummer in a garage punk/rock & roll outfit? Im not after a clean, hifi sound so i was thinking that the CTM cranked a fair bit should keep up with them? Im using a P bass and the cab will probably be either a Ashdown 4x10 or 6x10 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ozzy
