1. Myself and the band are back to writing and I'm looking to branch out my playing a little more. Since I'm always singing while playing bass, I've always given myself plenty of breathing space to do both on stage but I'm really wanting to push myself into my interesting bass playing with the same amount of singing (it'll be tough) I've always been influenced by bassists like Nick Theineman of Young Widows, David W.m Sims of Jesus Lizard, Brian Cook of....Brian Cook, Nate Newton of Converge and NomeansNo but could never really figure out their scales, the style of playing I have down, just those pesky scales. Can anyone give me some scales that would be good to stick into a song, I'm playing in D standard, it's been about 4 years since I last looked at scales.

3.
You need my Ampeg SVT3Pro
Get the SVT 3 if you're looking for an all round good punk head, I've used mine for about a year and a half and it's awesome for that sort of thing. If you want a more Converge/Nate Newton tone, the Orange is great with a change of higher gain tubes and higher gain pups, it gets that tone pretty close without having to buy an AD200 and a Terrorverb.
4. I'm itching to get my hands on my Knightfall 66, should be soon now!
5. Selling two of the staples on my board for a bit of an upgrade on my part. First up is the Solidgold FX Beta Overdrive, a very soft overdrive which gives a huge bass boost, these are £139 RRP, going for £80 or will trade for a COG Knightfall (dual or single) BOSS WITHDRAWN Give me a message if interested. Cheers.
6. Being stuck in NI is pretty bad for trying interesting pedals, nothing's here. I think I might just pull the trigger on a single Knightfall instead of the 2
7. I've heard amazing things about it, like really really amazing things. So I'm thinking of ditching the Rat King for a softer(ish) sound. I'm wondering if the Knightfall can achieve the same bite and snarl as the Rat? Obviously a different sound but I still want that same harshness, just a little different! Can it be my sole dirt pedal?
8. I know I already posted the single but here's the full thing! Once again, enjoy! http://pigsaspeople.bandcamp.com/album/the-plot-against-future-plans
9. Enjoy! https://pigsaspeople.bandcamp.com/track/foundling
10. http://youtu.be/KDdTpVrcNvQ?t=2m20s The only thing you need to make you think about getting a Swollen Pickle
11. Well big man! Welcome! There's a couple Belfastians lurking on this!
12. If you ordered that today, expect it to be with you in about 3 hours. Joe has the best turn around.
13.
This is my current bass pedalboard, which features my usual bass pedals on the bottom row and my 'fake guitar' sound on the top, to emulate the Royal Blood tone. This is what it sounds like!
That's the best thing I've seen all week!
14. Maybe just an EQ pedal would do to bring out the low end, I've used one on bass before however and I was actually pretty surprised by how well it sounded on it's own.
15. The Rainbow Machine is one of the most "different" pedals out there, insanely unique pedal. My vote would also go to the Mr Black Downward Spiral, which is a weird delay meets pitch shifter thing, really unique
16. Maybe a Joyo Ultimate Drive? They're super cheap and based off the OCD circuit, heard good things about, so it could be subtle but sounds nice with the frantabit
17. I've always thought about a phaser, let me know what you think
