1. I was looking to make a post just like this, I'd recommend a tremolo of some kind, could be cool for some dub/hip-hop sounds, maybe take a look at Juan Alderete's work with Deltron 3030 and see what he's using!
2.
What do you think if the behringer, is it any good? Was thinking of picking one up at the moment to see if I like it. I've seen a few of these floating around and wondered how they compared to the BDDI, only trouble is they're more expensive than the BDDI
The VT is excellent, if you're looking a classic SVT sound, it's there in a box
3. You're better off getting something that'll do something close to this sound but more, what I've found is people get a B3K, love it for about 6 months and then eventually sell it on for something a bit more versatile. For a metal tone, I've always recommended these, it's got a much loved gate, which is good for metal http://youtu.be/wnkVsllF7vs?t=3m42s
4. Jury's out on Reflektor for me, I absolutely loved The Suburbs, more then I thought I ever would. I just think Reflektor is a bit boring and a definite step down from the past 3 albums but I can see how maybe they got bored of doing the indie with a mix of folk thing and wanted to go a bit more experimental
5.
American Loopers 8ch click less programmable looper TU3 > OC2 > Sputnik > Micro Synth > Duality > B7K > Tone Hammer Nearly happy, I'd love a Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe and Subterranea/Frantabit
How much was the Sputnik after customs and postage?
6. There's a fella named Mexicola on here who is on the hunt for one, give him a message!
7. Cool video! Still love the thick sound of the Swollen Pickle, wish I never sold mine...
8. Rats into SVTs is a classic sound, even though I haven't played a COG Knightfall 66, with the amount of praise it's got, it seems hard to beat!
9. Booking a tour and it is a slow process and I'm looking for a Midlands show, got a show for London sorted and looking for a show after that but before a show in the North West. Let me hear your recommendations!

11. Lets not forget the magical Dee Kyle on sound desk, taught me at Bangor Tech for 4 years. The epitome of a legend.
12. I got my Beta for all the subs and power I need! But I might just give it a go out of curiosity! I honestly can't help but just play stoner stuff when I switch it on!
13. My board for now, just want a POG2 and I'll hopefully be happy! TFR is just mind blowing.
14. Hey dude! Fellow Belfastian here too!

16.
Just get one. I was using it this weekend, after the TK-421 (Tom's Rat clone) and/or the Wren & Cuff TFR, and it sounds totally brutal but just sits so well with a band. Especially effective against two noisy guitarists with JCM 800s! ;-)
I recently got a TFR as well, the Beta I find brilliant, I'd really have to try one before I think about it, no chance of that happening on this rock I live on! Plus I'd only really be using one part of the 66!
17. After all the stuff that I've read hear, it's making me want a Knightfall 66, especially all the stuff about it stacking well with other pedals
18.
Thanks guys. £30/40 would work out at about 30% so that makes sense. Chris, I know what youre saying man but Ive wanted one for so long now that I dont think the GAS will subside until ive tried one. What are you using now instead? I need a grindy preamp to replace my B3K so im really looking at either a Rusty Box or a VT Bass I think.
I know that feeling dude! I just love low end and thickness, to fill up the band, hence why I didn't like the Rusty Box but if you want a grindy preamp, this'll be your dream come true, it's grind for days. I'm actually using a SolidGold FX Beta for a bit of pre-distortion dirt, then into a Fuzzrocious Rat King for full blown! I've actually heard every say that the Rusty Box is such a great replica of the TS50-B, that it works better just running it straight into your power amp!
19. Whenever I got mine I think I paid around £30/£40 in customs Be certain you want one, they're a very specific sound and I found that it was a complete failure for my tone, if you want sharp, harsh and throaty, do it, also, maybe be prepared to have to change the EQ settings on your amp to match the pedal, I personally found it a complete pain.
20.
Definitely this, I just could never get a very natural, organic sound out of the B3/7K. Maybe I just wasn't doing it right, though I tried probably every possible setting!...I did enjoy it for Takeshi Ueda moments, though none of my current bands have any particular need for those!
Doesn't seem to be their thing! I think the Empress Metal does a far better job of a compressed metaly bass tone which is far more organic if you're looking for it.
I thought the same about the B3K, and drew similarities between Darkglass fanatics and Apple fanboys worshipping their iPhones. The Vintage changed my opinion though. It sounds more, er, 'vintage'.
I love the idea of Darkglass releasing a phone "With the Era knob, you can go from Nokia 3310 to iPhone and everything in between in the twist of a knob!"
21. The VMT looks a great piece of kit but I don't know about Darkglass stuff, I know people who like it LOVE it, to my ears it just sounds so manufactured and fizzy. I know a guy who swears by Darkglass gear and I just can't get my head around the hype at all, but hey, that's just me! Although, if I were to join some sort of hi-fi metal band, I'd probably get one to fit the sound, seems to me that's where a lot of their market is! Nolly lovers!
