1. Such a great looking bass, top shelf stuff too. I love my CS Closet Classic Jazz and can almost imagine how clean and full this one must sound too. GLWTS!
 2.
ON HOLD I found another set of TI's in the cupboard. These were on a Fretless for a short while before I sold it and are in good condition. Price includes signed for post.
ON HOLD I found another set of TI's in the cupboard. 3. My good pal just got these two beauties.... 2007 FB4 2014 FU4
 4. Thank you very much fella's!
 5.
Very nice indeed. I'm very pleased for you mate.
Cheers! Fingers crossed she can stay
 6.
I have a feeling my CS Jazz will eventually become something P Bass-shaped
Haha, don't you just hate it when those thoughts start creeping in? And you just got her back too, I really like your Jazz, great colour. I get the feeling my new P Bass may become car shaped if I don't find a way to keep it. But I'm trying my damned hardest not to let that happen....
 7.
That is gorgeous
Cheers pal. I came so close to buying a Mike Lull P4 when I visited Seattle recently but couldn't get the price right so I'm glad this one fills that gap. Both are great basses so I'm happy to have one of them. Looks like my hunt for a 5 string is now over too, the P Bass always wins in the end with me!
 8.
Thanks man. I'm still stunned by how completely different these three are.
I couldn't be outdone by you Warren so I bought a made in 2014 CS 1964 Precision last night! There is a story http://basschat.co.u...shop-precision/ but I hope I manage to keep it! 9. Blame it on the GAS. I couldn't really afford this one but it was offered to me last night and I just couldn't say no. My mate owned this for about 6 months as a spare to his other identical one, but now he's using Modulus so this was up for sale.i always liked it so when he bought it over I couldn't resist, especially as I have a gaping big hole for a Precision, and that has been bugging me since I sold my last one as I wasn't getting along with the tone. It was also an odd purchase as I don't usually go for white basses, this is well out of my comfort zone. But, it's a stunning bass and it sounds and feels incredible. To my taste it's the nicest feeling neck I've played on a CS Precision, I guess that's why I'm overlooking the colour and couldn't resist buying it? I've had quite a few Precisions from 1963-66 and this one sits very nicely with them, only cheaper Still, this is not yet being classed as a 'keeper' and could end up in the for sale section due to future cash flow or colour appreciation issues.... I hope it stays and that I find a way to keep it, sure is gorgeous and looks a treat with my other 2 CS basses. EDIT: Oh yeah, it's a made in 2014, 1964 Relic
 10. This set of TI's were on a Precision bass which was used as a spare so they are in great conditIon. Price includes 'signed for' post. Cheers.
 11.
Thanks man. I'm still stunned by how completely different these three are. The Pino's neck feels quite chunky in my wee mitts, but even so, it's just an absolute dream to play. The Dusty feels completely the opposite as the neck feels tiny, even in comparison to my American Jazz Deluxe, but it's attached to a P body. The Geddy is somewhere in between. As you know, now it's had a proper set up, it just sings. Hard to put it down.
Good things come in 3's they say. Your jazz is exceptionally nice and it's great to have 3 so different. I'd love to get a CS Post 57 precision to complete the set!
 12. Stunning Warren, 3 beauties you have there!
 13.
I'm happy to say that Chiliwailer let me have a play on his '55 and it's stunning. The '63 ain't bad either ;-) Hope you're keeping well mate.
Hey pal, good to hear from you. How about teasing us all with your lovely Geddy and Dusty pair? (Er, if you know what I mean...). I hope the Dusty has flats on now!
 14.
I agree. As is often said in the "pick V fingers" discussions..."use both.. the more tools you have at your disposal the better, depending on the music". Cant see why it should not apply to strings as well.
Absolutely mate, nothing wrong with some pick action too
 15. I have rounds on my Modulus, heavy flats on my Precision and Thomastiks on my Jazz. So you could say I'm sitting on the fence.... Rounds for the punch and zing, Fender 55 - 110 flats for the huge thud and bottom end, thomastiks for a smooth flatwound style with a little extra punch than regular flats. Works for me.
 16. 1955 Relic Precision, made in 2013 1963 Closet Classic Jazz made in 2001

 19.
Oh my. I've owned many many (about 8 at last count) Flea basses over the years. But holy cow how much I'd love to own either one of those! Very very nice indeed.
8? That's quite a number! My purple one has an ash body, I'd love to get an alder body one too. Think i would stick at 2! Do you have any pics to post?
 20. Absolutely! I enjoy playing other instruments but bass is always where my soul will be, and given that soul is required to play bass I don't think twice about being a natural born bass player
 21. Absolute pleasure to deal with Warren again, and boy does he have some lovely basses and good taste.... Top man
 22. As far as I'm aware, the pickup is the big difference as it is ceramic on a Sterling and alnico on a Stingray. That makes a huge difference to the tone, the Sterling's sound a bit harder to my ear. A preamp bypass could be nice, I like MM basses in passive mode EDIT: I see Pete has arrived as I was writing my post - there lies your answers!
