1. I'd love to conduct my own personal comparison of sadowsky against lakland. By owning a beauty such as this one.
 2. Big shout to Howard for crafting a beautiful, perfectly fitting clear pickguard for my 5502. Mine must be the first sunburst lakland with a transparent guard. Thanks again to a master craftsman. Will be in touch again soon! Cas
 3.
Came across this awesome video:
Nice playing. Shame about the bored-looking dignitaries on the rostrum (probably putting off potential converts lol) though. Where's the church located?
 4. Jose just stepped in and sorted me out a template for a pickguard. He didnt have to offer but went out of his way to do so, so big props to a top bloke.
 5.
If you want a template of mine, I can get you a PDF of it.
Please if you could; I'd really appreciate it.
 6.
UNfortunately mine is shaped differently, like this:
But your shape will do nicely if I could get a template of it...
 7. send the the bass over and i'll cut a template - beauty!

 9.
D'Addario XL nickels 45-130 if I remember correctly.
Ok thanks - I'm looking to try a set of flats to see how they get on...
 10.
Glad that you're liking it, I would agree that Ibanezes possibly deliver more output, but that maybe down to pickup heights, however, the tone of the 5502 is soooo nice, more 'old school' to my ears.
you're right it certainly has an awesome tone. what strings is it carrying, do you know? i forgot to ask...
 11.
It's a real beast of a bass - compared to my Ibanez the tones are poles apart. But it's easy to play and will be even more so once I acclimatize to the string spacing. I'll be keeping my Ibanez or probably upgrade to the new 5006s but the Lakland is now my main player...
and it might only be me, but through the markbass rig at my church, I find the Lakland not as plain loud or powerful as the Ibanez. But the Lakland has no dead spots and the high notes ring out. It wont forgive any bum notes or intonations I dont think.

 13.
Hi Pete, Yep, it's still here, and sorry but I'm definitely keeping it. I'm playing it at home these days, but I was thinking about putting flats on and gigging with it again.
Hi Chris what 5-string flats set would you recommend for the Lakland?
 14.
Jeannie's pick guards in the States, or more locally perhaps, The Gallery in Camden just made the plate for my black 55-94 in the post immediately before yours.
I'll check out the Bass Gallery - yours looks the perfect fit!
 15.
Love the colouring!!!
This beauty/beast now belongs to me. Very proud - and that's set to increase when I finally get to play her in a large venue on Sunday! I'm toying with the idea of adding a pickguard, but only if it's transparent. Anyone knows where to get one?
 16. I'm now the proud owner of a pristine Lakland 55-02; courtesy of Chris. Sadly I didn't get to sample the famous tea and coffee (I guess I was too excited and engrossed in bass talk) but the EZ towers is a mere 20 minutes away from me so... Thanks for a superb transaction Chris - I can't wait to try the beast next Sunday.
 17. Thanks - but speak for yourself, Chris - top man!
 18. I've seen this amp and it's perfect. Alan is a top man too so buy with confidence. Complimentary Sunday bump.
 19. Nice bass Moyses GLWTS what are you getting next?
 20. Nice combo - I'm local and quite tempted - is this a 112 or 115?
