4. Hi Family it has been a good while... I'm selling my 5006, which I bought off here from 4Stringer (Paul) a few years ago. Unfortunately it has seen no playing time as I exclusively use the Lakland I got from EZBass. So it's time for it to go as I need to make space for a potential new arrival. The bass is offered with a Mono Vertigo gig bag. It retails at over £2000 when you can find one stocked and is set to become a real collectors item in years to come. It has been professionally serviced by Sam Walker ar Gibson Guitars in London and it is strung with Ibanez Nanoweb strings for a really warm fat sound. Sam also sorted the mid pot issue on this bass by replacing a circuit. See below for a Full Description: The SR5006E features a Power Curve III three-band EQ, developed specifically for the SR Prestige range. It includes a Mid Q control to make adjustment of the core tone extremely simple, and an On/Off switch so you can bypass the EQ altogether if you want to. The Mono-Rail IV bridge isolates the strings by independently locking down each saddle to the body, for maximum vibration transfer. The saddle heights are easily adjustable with a single screw for each. The bass has a five-piece wenge and bubinga neck, and a wenge fretboard with mother-of-pearl and abalone oval inlays. The 24 medium frets have the Prestige fret edge treatment, for a smooth, comfortable playing experience. A hardshell case is included to protect the bass when not in use. 5. But for the fact that I live in London, I'd be auditioning for this as this is my speciality. And my brother and family live there too! Good luck with the search...
6. Bump for price drop - after a new Fender American Standard P Bass if anyone has one to trade...
7. I was looking for one for awhile and eventually bought a brand new one just before this went up. Now that's a shame. This pedal will put a smile on someone's face.
8. What an absolute beauty. Shame it's not a 5...
9. I have one of these beauties and it's my ready-to-play bass for when I'm chilling indoors and feeling the urge to play along to something on the radio or TV. Someone will be very pleased with their purchase as £300 is a bargain. Glwts!
10. Thanks to Mark my foray into effects pedals continues a-pace after 2 pristine and beautifully packaged EBS pedals arrived this morning. I have to commend his professionalism, patience and indeed kindness in getting this deal done. He is a credit to the BC community and I highly recommend him.
11. Now here's a real beauty, which will appreciate even more with age. A P-bass is on my must-have-in-the-very-near-future list. And my MD would fall in love with me if I turned up with this beauty. Alas, imminent house move to Orpington has priority. I've already been to Ez Towers and experienced the world class hospitality... hmmmm... what are tyre-kickers of basses called?

Sold

I want one of these. PM sent.
13. Long overdue bump - I'm open to offers, plus: Straight Cash Offer EBS pedal rack Cash/sadowsky bass outboard pre Hit me up...
14. Thanks Paul. Well it won't leave me unless someone buys it, and as good basses are like exotic watches and increase in value with age, the 3006 may well be a collectors item in a few years...
15.
Nice one!!! Is the neck similar to the 5006?
Hey Pete! Sure they're both similar (depending on string choice) and have extremely comfortable necks.
16.
Great bass, would buy it myself if I hadn't already have this very same model and a SR5006 :-)
Thanks Paul! Credit to you for keeping both models.
17.
Awesome, I'm busy playing my 3005E at the moment. Great guitars and rare to see a 6 stringer. If I was looking at moving to 6 strings I'd have it.
Thanks Ed. Would've started with the 3005 myself had I given it much thought at the time. This one always draws comments over the looks and tone so overall great bass.
18. Hi folks, I'm selling my Prestige SR3006, which I bought new in the USA in 2005. Made in Japan, this bass is beautifully crafted and the following specs makes it a joy to play: Mahogany body, finished with oil 5Pc Wenge-Bubinga neck Rosewood Fretboard Narrow string spacing 9.6lbs (by my luggage scale) Abalone Inlays Ibanez Monorail Bridge Black Hardware Bartolini Pickups Ibanez 3 band EQ with sweepable mid This bass plays superbly and is strung with a set of Elixir Nano-Web strings for a lovely warm tone. The bass has always been set up by Chris McIntyre. I've just had the electronics serviced by Sam Walker at Gibson Guitars in London so there are no issues. There is some finger rash above one of the pickups and there are some marks on the underside of the body which I can only surmise came from some rogue strings carelessly left in a gig bag. These cant be seen if you're playing the bass. Grrr. This is a 10 year old bass but with a bit more care it could have been presented as a 10/10 rather than my estimate of 8.5/10. Still, this has been my main player for years and has seen many a stage. I've just bought the upgrade 5006 from 4stringer, hence the reason for the sale. This deal is perhaps a GOOD FRIDAY SPECIAL, as I doubt you'll find one of these basses for sale very often. Collection is from Bromley/Kent. Comes with a Ibanez hard case which itself is in excellent condition.
19. I bought Pete's Ibanez SR5006e Prestige bass today. It's a beauty and I think good times becon. Pete is a top guy and I'd have no hesitation dealing with him again - very highly recommended. I've also had the pleasure of seeing his awesome collection of beautiful basses - my goodness Pete. Thanks again and let me know when you're playing Bromley!
20. Thad and his crew were at my church conference in London with James Fortune over the weekend. Unbelievable, incredible playing. And a real humble dude. That bass is a skyline with mods. Killer tone. I also LIKE Dwayne Thomas. He's from a different planet musically.
21. I bought a Mono Vertigo yesterday and lugged it on PT from Bromley all the way to Kilburn tonight. I bought the gray / blue one with the orange boot, which IMO would have looked much better with the black bag. Alas, the black seems only available with the grey boot. Strange that. All in all, I find it an eye-catching, practical and comfortable bag, and I'll be getting a Tick to complement the somewhat tight storage. The price seems to be fixed wherever you look, so if you can, buy direct in-store and save on the £10 shipping.
