1.
Check out www.scottsbasslessons.com - one of the most active teachers on the 'net .
+1 for this! Great channel, awesome bass player
 2.
Listening to a lot of Faith No More. Currently Angel Dust. Billy Gould is such a great bassist!
So true! Great album and great playing!
 3. Set's far it's been a Desaparecidos / Conor Oberst kind of day!
 4.
My updated rig, it sounds immense, I tried an 8 X 10 but it does nothing compared to the 4 X 10 and 1 X 15 paired up.
Love that! My gas is going seriously now!
 5. On today's list is Lymbyc Systym - Symbolyst The Mars Volta - Noctourniquet Rancid - Life Won't Wait After that who knows where I'll go??
 6. I own the Behringer tuner and don't have any issues with it. Tunes my 4, 5 and 6 string fine. I would like to upgrade to a Boss but at the moment I'm in no real rush.
 7.
The singer did seem slightly contrived, but who knows maybe not Occasionally who get a young band on there who seem themselves, last one I remember was Yuck, who I quite enjoy.
I really like Yuck, but don't see them anything like these though.
 8. They lasted about 15 seconds before I changed the channel over
 9. Such sad news! My thoughts go out to all his friends and family. Many moons ago I saw them in Leeds and his playing blew me away! RIP
 10.
The most important factor is the name of the person using the equipment....not the name on the headstock or piece of kit.
Never a truer word said!
 11. When I got back to playing after my 7 year break at the beginning of last month I started looking for a amp for home use that would be able to hold its own in a practice / small gig when it came to it. I looked at all the usual suspects and was close to buying both an Ampeg and then an Ashdown mini rig. I carried on looking at what I could get for my money and I came across the Behringer BXL1800. For the money, I think it's was something like £160 I got more power for my money. It sounds really nice with my bass and packs the right punch. Ok, I may upgrade to a stack in the near future but this will be my home amp as long as it lasts. I'm really happy with it.
 12. Had a pretty good bassist day. Worked until lunch and by the time I'd got home the Mrs and the kids had already gone out, and with me being injured meant no rugby for me today so I had all afternoon to noodle and work on some bass lines for a album one of my mates is working on. Sounding good so far. Spent early evening mooching eBay for a cheap (ish) fretless that I'm looking to purchase. Might even plug the headphones in and have a noodle later on
 13.
How did our miss this thread when my most recent purchase touched down? Oh well better late than never.
Love the colouring!!!
 14. Looks gorgeous, loving that colour!
 15. Hey mate and welcome. I'm new to the forum as well. Played bass through all my teens and early twenties but really wanted to learn properly. Found some great stuff on instruction and learning. Get practicing
 16.
I am from Bradford though... my Nan used to say it all the time, pretty much when she played pop with me! You should throw it into conversation next time you're out and see what happens!?
I'm from Brighouse and its a common used phrase in our house. Espeacially with the kids! Haha! But to answer the original question, I constantly look and tinker with mine. Luckily we have a spare room so its out of the way of the Mrs who has absolutely no interest.
 17.
Yes, still good enough for Madonna to sign em up though Adrenaline - Demonstration Around the Fur - Revelation White Pony - Deification Deftones - Defecation Saturday Night Wrist - Ressurection Diamond Eyes - Continuation Koi No Yokan - Elation That's the way I look at them anyway.
That's pretty spot on to be fair!
 18.
Yep, the album that I heard first, and it's a beauty. I'm not too keen on Adrenaline though.
The singles from Adrenaline are good but I agree it's a tad hit and miss. A sound of a band still finding their feet?
 19.
around the fur. One of the all time best metal albums.
+1 for Around The Fur! An album that really got me into playing. Chi's playing is brilliant on this album as well!
 20. Loving the new album, but to be fair there's not really an album I don't like by them. I was reading an interview with Chino saying they'd never have so much fun writing, recording and playing a record. I think it really comes across on the record.
 21.
My Warwick Infinity NT 5 - 2008 for the catalonian brutal drone doom band Entropia. view videoclip of Entropia
Absolute stunner!!
 22. +1 for the BSY600! Just got myself a Behringer BSY600 synthesizer pedal! Still playing but seems great for the money!

I'd love to find others with this amp as i'm sterting to think i may be the only person that still has a working one! Anyhoo i love TE amps and i don't think i'd ever use anything else.
