Hi Bert and thanks for the welcome. Still in a thought process over what to purchase. I know if I get something cheap I won't be happy with it and will want something better, been looking at a few squire Jazz' but not come to any decisions. Hopefully go around a few shops over the weekend

Thanks Leen, Already lined up an Ampeg Mirco-CL stack, which is 100w and has a 2 x 10" cab. I think this will do me for my home practicing and have enough oomph to play with the lads when ever we jam. Been looking at a few basses over the last week. Having to wait until pay day (next Thursday) is already killing me! Haha! I have managed to acquire a Encore bass to tide me over but it's just not the same.

Good morning all! My names Rick and I'm from Brighouse in West Yorkshire. Having played bass for the majority of my teens and my early twenties I found myself having to sacrifice my collection of basses (mainly, an American Fender Jazz and Precision basses) and amps to supply our growing family with camping gear for the summer holidays away. Having met up with the lads I used to play in the band with at a recent gig, it has rekindled my want and need to play bass again. Now this means rebuilding everything from scratch but something I am looking forward to it. Hope I can pick up some new tips on here.
