  1. Aha I download the manual and have a look Thanks Buddy
  2. A rare beast indeed this is No 18 of 50 made. So it a Little Bastard valve preamp mated to a 550w class D power amp. All in a nice petit head very flexible interactive EQ. pics are a bit crap lol it’s in great condition and comes with a slip cover. Trades Amp head similar power ? Pice includes UK postage
  3. Variation on the question im using a EBS Multi Chorus like this Bass > TC Polytund > Altlas Compressor > Rodenberg LDP > Multi Chorus > Amp My issue is engaging the Chorus jumps the level considerably. There’s no Vol or Mix control. Any ideas or do I just need a different chorus
  4. Not a fan of the ABM compressor seems to muddy things up a bit
  5. Chris bought a little mixer from me great communication instant payment. Deal with complete confidence
  6. This is a 21 fret model with an Okume fretboard. Preamp is Vol / blend / bass / treble with a push pull passive option. I had an issue with the preamp and the bass went back to Warwick in Germany who sorted it checked over the bass and did a set up. I changed the awful original headstock logo to a Sadowsky one. It’s in v good condition I would say 9.5 out of 10. The finish is black with a silver sparkle which is really hard to photograph. It’s much more subtle than it looks in the pics. Comes in a really nice Sadowsky Gig back the same as you get with a German made bass. shipping to the UK mainland is included in the price and it will be double boxed in the original Sadowsky packaging. Pick up from rugby or local meet deduct £20 I forgot to do the post it thing but check my feedback for peace of mind!

  8. You’re right I guess. I got an Atlas comp last week issue solved. Now I can hear it a ridiculous amount of bass unless your needing to demolish the foundations of a tower block.
  9. I used to do just that with s pedal from the now defunct Award Session. The benifit that you could kick in and out the pot and get a solo boost your in luck https://www.expressmusic.co.uk/products.asp?code=343121&name=pre-owned-award-session-sb1-solo-booster-pedal-inc-box&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19542579582&gbraid=0AAAAAD-QetYtg93QSyOgyU0J7Efu0haUX&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7Lfk9_qbkAMVB4tQBh1zwAguEAQYASABEgLWBvD_BwE
  10. Just pickup a used Little Bastard 550 1. Gig and 1 rehearsal and initial impression are good. It’s a punchy little bastard indeed. Having overcome the weird reversed EQ knobs Mid Bass Treble the circuit is awesome very interactive so not plug in and go but a bit of fiddling pays off, at last ibe nailed that Bruce Foxton grindy thump
  11. Thanks for all the suggestions in the end I went for a Rodenberg LDP The clean boost is enough to push the preamp on the LB just enough and the Drive section sounds great
  12. Indeed Will did use to work at Bass Direct. And the comment about replying to mails is spot on.
  13. Bit of a saga with this one. So I had an issue I assume with the preamp as it worked fine in passive. No output with the bass and treble off and tinny noise with maxed Fair play to Thomann who shipped the bass back at their cost and returned it “fixed” So now it sounds and plays great. But…..if I max the bass in active mode there’s Distortion even if I back the gain right of on whatever I plug into. Not a massive problem as there is tons of bass before it happens. Are they all like this ? any ideas
  14. Some reading or YouTubing to do then ta
  15. So a newish Bass shop just down the road from the other local specialist ! https://bassbros.co.uk I popped over the other day to look at an Ashdown LB550 head. They work on appointments which is actually really nice no hanging about while people slap expensive basses to death. It a small ish place in a rural setting but about to expand in the same place I was met by name and looked after really well. I did a part ex of my MarkBass TTE 801 for the Ashdown and got a very fair price and a good deal The their bass stock is a bit different to BD .Still enough high end dream basses but a lot of mid price workhorses with a special focus on Jap Fenders and other gems. Give then a try they deserve success.
  16. Ta and Amazon available so I can give it a blast risk free. S
  17. I’m looking for a way `(pedal or pedals) to get get two ditact drive tones. First a touch of gritty edge not woofy raspy bottom end. Second full on Lemmy.
