2.
The Bass Bible is a very good book, but I wouldn't neccesarily buy it to learn basic theory - the section on music theory is pretty brief and the book is far better at presenting an analysis of dozens of different styles of contemporary music and a number of renowned players. It's a great source of ideas and inspiration. Do a google search for basic music theory. There are dozens of good sites out there.
I disagee, this book is a complete load af sh*te, total waste of £20 sterling completely overhyped
 3. may i offer you our most sincere appologies for legendary footballer Paul "gazza" gascoigne's insulting outburst during a t.v interview in your nativeland many moons ago. welcome to the site
Hi All....I have 3 four string basses [Got a bit carried away you know how it is] So i am selling a couple & this is the first a 97 Warwick lx4 with wenge neck & fretboard its a well used bass but has a fantastic sound. I bought it from Guitar,Guitar in Edinburgh about a year ago and this is the condition i found it in but the sound and playability is so good it did'nt matter to me. The body & hardware is marked up back & front but its all cosmetic and the neck & electrics are great. I am looking for £450.00 Plus p&p [brand new gig bag inc..]
I had the 5 string version of this in 1998, Paid £1225.00 for it from the bass centre, swapped it for a fender jazz and have regretted it ever since!! Great bass, good luck with the sale

 15.
Hi Mark, Why don't you sell it as a whole bass? Steve
It is a 73 p bass very worn out, I had intended to keep the neck and have it made lined fretless. I intended to have the body sprayed fiesta red and fit the existing hardware and some vintage pickups a la pino paladino. looking at the bass, I think that due to the extra routing that has been done, the body is worth little, the scratchplate has an extra hole where the 3rd pot was fitted and so has lost value and ive torn out the pickups so the bass is currently in bits and i'm trying to recoup some money. regards mark
 16. Need to raise some funds for a new bass so will be removing various parts from my 1973 fender precision and will be selling in due course if anyone is interested. First up for grabs now is the neck plate from a 1960's precision bass. the serial number is 826** This date can be verified on the Fender website. If anyone is interested I have a 73 P bass that i will be breaking up and selling as spares. The neck is very aged but origonal but has a new nut fitted and requires three frets re fretting(18.19 and20) the body is origonal but needs a refinish and has been routed to cater for an additional bridge pickup The tuning keys and bridge are both origonal and in full working order. Regards Mark
 17. MY JAZZ TRIO HAVE JUST LOST OUR RESIDENCY AT OUR LOCAL WATERING HOLE AFTER JUST 2 WEEKS, PROBABLY DUE TO MY DREADFUL PLAYING! SO UP FOR GRABS IS THIS MARVELOUS UNIT. ITS FAR TOO GOOD JUST TO USE AS A PRACTICE AMP SO AWAY IT MUST GO. PHIL JONES BASS SUITCASE IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER, STILL BOXED WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONS AND LEADS 2 SWITCHABLE ACTIVE/PASSIVE INPUTS HEADPHONE SOCKET FOR LATE NITE JAMMIN A NICE AND PORTABLE CLEAN SOUNDING AMP IDEAL FOR SMALL GIGS BUT YOU CAN CONNECT AN EXTENTION IM LOOKING FOR AROUND £400 I WOULD IDEALLY PREFER THIS TO BE COLLECTED BUT IF ITS A DEAL BREAKER THEN P.M ME FOR POSTAGE COSTS REGARDS MARK
 18. I am selling my Sadowsky outboard pre amp as Ive just had the onboard circuit fitted to my jazz bass so this is surplus to requirements. This is the robust floor mounted footswitch as opposed to the flimsy clip on belt unit. Outstanding unit, especially for passive basses and for anyone trying to achieve that Marcus sound Excellent condition, home use only can be powered by 9v battery or by mains. Pedal includes XLR out, Tuner out low battery indicator and mute switch. These are retailing in the gallery for £225.00 so I am asking for £80.00 for collection or £90.00 posted recorded delivery anywhere in the uk Regards Mark
 19.
uh.... the B occasionally likes to be awkward and flat? hang on.. how do I do a Bb when I haven't got a Bb on my fretboard???
For everyones sake, please give up the bass!!!
 20.
I heard one at a shop in Bristol the other day, and was quite impressed that such a small unit could give out such a big sound. However, it was not playing that loudly, so i dont know what its like at full chat! Anyone got one or use one, I'd be interested to hear. Cheers Matt
I own the flightcase which I use purely as a practice amp, the sound quality is second to none, real clean/crisp sounding. The trouble is that Its only really suitable in a live scenario with a jazz trio at most. You can buy an extention cab which certainly improves matters but even with the extention cab, It will still struggle against drummers and guitarists. The cost of the flightcase and extention cab runs into £1000 and Im pretty sure you can get a far better and more practical amp setup for that price.
 21.
DEAR MR MARK Thank you very much for coming to the website. Please pay deposit of $1,000,000 American Dollars via Western Union to DR K SMITH. Thank you. lol... just kidding. Welcome to the site mate! Hope to see some tasty porn pics of your basses soon.
Thanks all for the warm welcome, It took me a while to work out how actually post the initial message so photo's will be a long way away!!! another question If I may, I see many of you have your gear listed whenever you post, how do I go about putting my own list on? this site is quite confusing as I am only part educated
 22. Hello all, Just stumbled onto this site more by chance than anything. A bit about myself, Ive been playing since 93, after hearing "message in a bottle" by the police I felt an immediate bond with the bass, I rushed out and brought a squire p bass and that was where it all began. Can't say Ive improved much since then but at least I'm having fun!! Im currently playing an overwater jazz bass through a markbass rig, I still own the squire p-bass and also a couple of old Fenders. I'm looking to try my hand at 5 string so if anyone knows of anyone selling a quality 5 string(overwater, sadowsky, sei, fodera!!!) for around £1000 then please let me know. regards mark
