Ash body 3.9kg according to my scales so 8.5lbs there abouts in old money Rosewood board with clay dots, nut width 38mm. CTS pots, vintage wired, switchcraft jack alnico pickups, gotoh resolite vintage tuners. the scratch plate it arrived with was upgraded with a superior fender branded tortoise pickguard. I do not have the one that was originally supplied with the bass. in the interests of total transparency, the limelight logo has been shamelessly removed, but I have the original invoice to prove its authenticity. also some of the finish is wearing away from the rear of the neck that can be seen clearly in the photos. I have owned a number of Sadowsky basses previously and this is easily as good, as a Metro and much lighter in weight. 5 string bass in classic Olympic white/Tort. I've played this on a handfull of gigs and its in superb condition and has been kept in the sadowsky soft/hard case that comes with the bass when not in use. Super lightweight and fantastic super jazz. Plenty of reviews online. Arguably one of the best solid state amps ever made! This is the real deal, a professional touring amp, used by players from John Paul Jones to Marcus Miller! Im the 2nd owner of this, the original owner owned this from new and had it shipped from the USA way back in the day. It has been housed in a rack since day one, been well looked after and still has its box candy, and foot switch. It does have a few scratches on the front and a couple of facia screws have "buzzed" out over the years but other than that it's looking pretty damn good and of course working perfectly. This is a killer amp with a great reputation for durability and fabulous sound. For sale is my Fender Deluxe Active P Bass special from 2006-2007 I picked this up in a trade recently but Im a 5 string player at heart and try as I might I just cannot get on with 4 strings anymore. so sadly this has to be moved on Its mexican made but the build quality/fit and finish for me is equivelant to anything USA made. The neck is a joy to play and feels great in the palm.The neck is a jazz profile with 38mm at the nut and makes getting up and down the neck really fast. Very lightweight bass,. Im led to beleive that fender used premium woods/electronics and hardware on this model Bass is finished in midnight blue, it almost looks black in some pictures/lights/in the flesh. Dark colours tend to show all scuffs and scratches. I have done my best to photo this but it is not easy. there is one perticular scratch on the rear contour shown in photo. other marks are minor and consistent with an instrument of this age that has been gigged. A gold scratchplate completes the look P.J configuration with a fender noiseless jazz pick up. I have read that as this is a special edition bass the pickups are possibly USA ones. Active circuitary is powered by a single 9volt battery in the rear compartment. This is a P J Bass on steroids but there are so many tones available from classic P to Classic Jazz, as a very versatile bass indeed to say the least Price includes shipping to U.K mainland or you are welcome to collect from Birmingham.
