4. Another from my collection for sale, a stunning vintage style Sadowsky jazz bass UV70RW retro/vintage model based around Fenders 1970's Jazz bass The ultimate colour contrast vintage white body complete with tortoise shell pickguard for that classic look. 34" rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl block inlays as fret markers. Sadowsky pre amp and Sadowsky elecronics and pickups Set up and plays like a dream, has 4 strings and really is the ultimate sounding Jazz bass. Sounds fantastic in the band mix it really cuts through. Now there is some minor buckle rash to the rear which is purely cosmetic but wanted to be up front about it. This occurred when I loaned it out to Peter hook and Duff McKagan but proving exactly which one of them dun it is rather difficult to prove as i was briefly mindless at that point in my life! These are currently retailing at around £1800 so I will be Looking for £1150 which is a real bargain comes complete with sadowsky branded custom fitted hard padded case with pockets for accessories. I am selling this to fund my dream bass which I will be collecting imminently. regarding trades, I may be interested in a markbass 2x10 cab or combo with cash difference. Any questions or if anyone is in Birmingham please pop in and have a bash. Will gladly post anywhere at your cost. I have plenty of gigs around the country so may be able to deliver or meet up on route possibly. Regards Mark

  6.
how is the neck on this one? fat as a hen or more manageable ?
the neck is slim as you like and smoothe as a bast*rd, think of Kenny G's sax playing and you won't be far off the mark
  7.
Beautiful bass - if those parts are genuine vintage '62, it's a real steal! Best of luck with the sale! Danny
This would go very nicely alongside that stunning jazz you have on your picture!! Every jazz bass needs an older brother thanks for your comment
  8.
What does the bass weigh in at? Nick
Around the 9lbs mark, certainly not one of the heavier ones
  9.
Hi Just to clarify, are the vintage bits frpm a real 62p bass or a re-issue? Thanks
Parts from a real 62 bass, not a reisuue.
  10.
Hi, Is this an original colour or refin? Regards, Steve
All original finish,
  11. Howdy all, I mentioned before that Ive just ordered something custom and so I need to sell my current 3 basses to fund my dream. For sale is an all original 1973 jazz in excellent condition missing only the ohsc and neck chrome guard. A few dings as to be expected. Finished in mocha brown with maple neck with traditional block inlays. this has been stored away for some time as I have always been scared to take it out of the house. Needs must so am looking for £1200 or sensible offers. If you are in the area then you are welcome to pop in for polite conversation and some very strong coffee, If you fancy a go on the bass then that will be possible also. Let me know if you require any furtur pics or info warmest regards Mark
  12. Howdy all, I have just ordered a custom bass and so my current 3 basses are surplus to requirements to fund my new toy. first up is a bit of a modified/hybrid fender precision which is quite unusual but never the less still very exciting. I brought the bass from a fellow musician, the body and neck are made in japan and so I am assuming the electics and pots are also. The seller removed the lettering on the rear of the neck as he was embarrassed that it had made in japan on!!! I previously had a 62 p bass that I couldn't commit the time to restoring so sold the neck, body and electrics but kept all the hardware and scratchplate. Basically I have decorated this japaneese P bass with vintage parts including the scratchplate, control nobs, bridge etc. I haven't got round to fitting the tuning keys as yet but will include this into the sale. the bass itself plays fantasticly, great neck and setup but passive basses are not really my cup of tea. In terms of use this has been played at home mainly with me venturing out on one occasion in a live situation. The drummer commented that "it looked like a Tomato" Looking for £700 or any sensible offers, Im located in Birmingham and you are welcome to drop in for some coffee and to try it out as long as you teach me some "hot licks" in exchange. as I mentioned before I have some other beauties up for grabs so watch this space!!! Warmest regards Mark
