I just sold some Olivs but the D and G were not new when I got them. They de-tuned overnight often, depending on temperature and humidity change. But when playing them i didn't notice any meaningful tuning shifts. So in short I guess they do settle down but will never be completely stable tuning-wise (like any gut string)

This lot were flagged up on BassChat once and got lots of praise and enthusiasm from members here. Rory booought some DB strings off me. All good and - as above - would happily deal with him agaiin

I just did this for a set of DB strings on BassChat. I offered to refund before receipt of strings, even though they did not appear to be faulty when I sent them on. I think this community thrives on trust and that is my guiding principle (as long as the other party isn't a random joiner with no posts and no feedback)

Don't be scared about using gentle force - I use my thumb to gently force the bridge back into position. The tension of the strings (60 pounds plus with Spiros) is such that, unless you are extremely clumsy, it won't suddenly flip over and collapse on you. Its quite easy to move the bridge 1cm or so gradually with no risk at all, in my view. Just be patient and brave!
