Hello, Im selling this on behalf of one of my students, He recently bought this on impulse and needs to liquidate some of his assets as it were. Its not new and it's got a few scratches on the outer casing. It comes with its original power supply plug, but didn't come with the original box or manual, but the guy he got it off printed out a manual for it, so there is one there, just not the original one. Thanks Dave £275?
I gotta ask - I don't mean to offend, but why so many of the same bass? Surely they can't all be so different from each other?
True, but first let me explain, I only collect basses as a form of very enjoyable pension scheme, all but a hand full will be sold when I retire or need to sell. Plus they are tax deductible as a capital purchase. AND I love Rays, It was the first "proper" bass I wanted when i started playing but they were more scarce than rocking horse sh*t at the time so I only managed to get one years later. They do all sound slightly different though, 3 band eqs sound different from 2 bands, maple necks different from the rosewoods and the graphite. The 20th anniversary was purely an indulgence

Thanks to Nick, Doctor of the Bass, On anothr of his purchase trips round the UK, we met up and I bought this little beauty off him Lovely neck, I fell in love with graphite with the Vigier I got from Nick last year and im a sucker for a Ray so I couldn't resist this one.

My New Tony Franklin Fretless P - Videos and Pics
cd_david replied to wateroftyne's topic in General Discussion
Dont do it Michael, The 71 looks stunning next to the TF, I think the finish on the TF looks like a cheap copy, the surface is shinny but there is no depth to it and there is too much contrast in the colour. The 71 looks gorgeous, well aged and matured timber, and "played in" a dream and the pickguard is stunning. Im sure you would seriously regret selling it. Why dont you sell the TF and put together a fretless hybrid to YOUR specifications not Tony Franklins. Or sell me the 71 at mates rates and 1 yrs interest free credit. -
Ha ha, if you were that desperate you'd be flogging the Vigier Passion on the wall. Wish mine was that colour !
Not my bass mate, it really does belong to one of my students who needs the cash to move into a new flat. I don't think i will ever sell the Vigier and it is a beautiful colour, what colour is yours?
Yeh - your dog chews it. Then what? It's rapidly going to need insurance and all sorts of stuff. They call that CityLink
I would have thought most of us would treat equipment with care. Maybe some people are less trustworthy however I assume all us northern bunch could vouch for the trustworthy members and likewise. I know Nick (Doctor of the bass) who lives southwards and would trust his recommendations and so the network expands and so on. Like i said you don't have to be involved, The thought of carriage costs or lack of case on an instrument could make or break a deal, or provide they buyer/ seller with the confidence of safe delivery. Just a suggestion.

Anyone interested in our own distribution network? I travel a lot around the North East, go to the Cotswolds a few times a year and travel to London/ Edinburgh occasionally? I would be more than happy to have a bass dropped off at my home or place of work and collected at my destination? I know this could logistically be hard to achieve but might be worth setting up a thread that would allow the registering of travel details and obviously you dont have to subscribe? Anyone else interested in trying? Just a thought? Dave
