3. I have 3 brand new High Quality EAST Chrome knobs, these came from my new EASY MM 2 band circuit, just a touch small for my music man proportions. Would prefer to swap for 2 real Ernie Ball knobs otherwise i think £9 posted? Cheers Dave
4.
I have a mate that maybe going near reading at the end of the month.
Probably around last week in June I will be going to Oxford area so could meet up. Dave
5. Thats a gorgeous looking bass, I love Honeyburst with maple. Congrats
6. Thanks for all the compliments, aive been a MM fan all my bass playing days but i think ive got the 1 now Cheers Dave
7.
Wahey!!! That looks great! The original finish was superb but there's something about black! I bought it off of Tombboy who I think bought it off Kiwi! The Cutlass basses had Modulus necks - Status did however produce necks for the Namm 100th anniversary basses as noted. I've just taken delivery of my `Ernie Ball' endorsement bass, a four string unlined fretless StingRay with a very tasty ash body (3-tone sunburst, black plate) which looks very similar to Pino's famous fretless! Problem is it has turned up 3 months early....! (still have to pay for it even with the endorsement!). Will try and get some pics up soon! My Dad saw and played it today and insists its the `best looking and sounding bass you've [I've!] ever had! Chears! Nick
Alright Nick, Cheers for the compliments, yeah im not a huge fan of black but there was something about this that said black to me and if a bass ever suited a colour its deffinatley this one, Im sooooooo pleased with it. Get some pics up of the new one mate how many is that now? Cheers Dave
8. Hello I bought this off Doctor of the Bass, Nick, Who bought it off Crazykiwi. Its been in this section when i got it but i have put in an East MM 2 band circuit and had it sprayed black by the GENIUS that is Dave Wilson. It is the best finish i have ever seen in my life, its like a mirror and to consider there were ferrules on the back and a side mounted jack and there is no trace what so ever. Hope you like it Before AFTER!
9.
I'm going to have a "Dave Wilson"
Enough said! Its going to be a stunner, play beautifully and sound stunning. Dave is not only a brilliant luthier and repairer but a great bloke. Dave
10. That is a stunning colour, cant believe the price for a new one?!?!?!?!?
11. Hello, Thanks for all the interest, unfortunately Andy has bought it. Sorry but i do have a Studio Master 16;8:16:2 Mixdown Gold for 150? Cheers Dave
12.
It also has a Piezo element, but the B-string isn't responding well. A luthier said it's probably a loose wire.
How low is the saddle on your B string? I had a similar problem with mine and i noticed that if you raise it slightly off the base plate (mine was as low as it could go) it cures it. I think it must short out against the earth????? either way it worked on mine. Cheers Dave

16.
Excellent service and price - arrived the day after I ordered it.
Its true, I have spent a fortune with the Sounds Live guys over the years (Don't tell the wife) and I cant emphasise enough the quality of information and knowledge provided along with superb customer service. We all know how we pay slightly more in shop than online but i have been pulled out the doo dah on numerous occasions buying strings etc for gigs and sessions and even borrowing equipment from a shop due to the aforementioned customer care. The internet is a wonderful thing for customers and retailers alike but i think we all have a responsibility to support the local music shops in our towns incase they turn into the next Woolworth's. I personally think a good customer/retailer relationship is a very good position to be in and it cuts both ways. We will only miss the shops when they have gone Sermon over. Dave
17. Hi Michael What about a REAL 75? Might be persuaded to part with it Dave
18.
So how many pots does this have? I need one with B/M/T and V
Hi This has a Vol, Mid Stacked Bass and Treble so three seperate pots but 4 controls, easy enough to separate the stacked pot though if you needed the 4 pots? Cheers Dave
19. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/1727...ve-pickups.html It has been confirmed to be a duncan circuit link above, comes with the harness and all pots,so lets say £55 posted? Cheers Dave
20. I have taken one of these out of a bass i have just bought, owned in the past by Crazykiwi who suggested it is this circuit, I habe taken it out to replace it, I am after a 2 band musicman circuit so am prepared to sell it or swap it. It is in full working order, sounds incredibly hifi and and clean, it is he 3 band version with a stacked pot for bass and treble with separate mid and volume with push pull active passive switch. Pm me if you are interested? Thanks Dave
21. Decided to sell this now as i need to buy a new car. No swaps at the present time thanks. It is a piezo, 3 band natural 4 string, originally came with the grey granite guard, which i still have and comes with musicman ltd edition case, I think it is an early ltd edition?? not sure though. Gorgeous birdseye neck. Is in excellent condition, little or no marks to comment or photograph, Only mod is i have had the back of the neck finished in satin lacquer by Dave Wilson. Plays like a dream and sounds stunning. It plays like a dream with very low action. The addition of the Piezo makes for an enormous tonal range from acoustic bass to full on stingray, if both are used an incredible stingray sound is possible, almost 3D in sound. Bass with big bald head in the pickguard Thanks Dave
22. Bummer wish i could afford this back, Ray what you doing to me???????? Its the most stingray sounding stingray i have ever heard, 2 band 80s circuit, ash body, stingray pup and that neck ooooh same dimensions as a ray but a touch thinner at the nut just like a ray should be! Heres the last pics i have of it with ALL other mods Ray mentioned. (edit new pic added) I wonder if the wife will sell a kidney?
23. Kev bought my Squier Jazz, a thoroughly nice bloke, super smooth transaction even if it did look a touch dodgy on the station platform Cheers Dave
