Hello

Welcome aboard
4. Well, I finally got myself the Jazz Bass I have been looking for, a Fender CS '64 relic with a Brazilian rosewood 'board....
5. I love my P Basses but the Yamaha is a very different beast in terms of sound and playability. The neck is more of a Jazz profile and the pick ups are super punchy with an almost 'active' nature to the depth and clarity of the sounds
6. 'ray all the way on this one, I love mine.......
7. If you can afford it get the TC Electronics RH450 - has inputs for the iPod and a headphone output and one cracking good head to boot
8. Currently I've got four amps; Eden WT400, Markbass TA501, Markbass F500 and a TC Electronics RH450. Three cabs, all Bergantino's; AE112, HT112ER, EX112ER (the last two I run as a pair). I've just ordered another TC Electronics head (a Classic 450) so I can link them for more control into my HT/EX cabs using just the power section of the Classic head - running one head per cab.

14. Welcome and enjoy. With £400 to spend I would definately look for a good second hand bass on this forum.
15. Welcome and enjoy. How about a nice white Rick, like a 4001CS

17.
I remember having a discussion with a Hartke rep on this (don't ask). Apparently they had been in discussions with Chris for a deal on providing tour backline. He said that Chris would bi-amp (not uncommon with the Ric's, presumably using a Rick-O-Sound) and run a bass amp for the low end signal and a guitar amp for the high end signal. Apparently the guitar amp was EQ'd to drop all the bass and the bass amp set completely flat. I'm not sure how much of this would be true but i've often thought it would make a fun little experiment with my trusty 4003.
Chris' bass does not have the Rick-O-Sound so if he is bi-amping it's with a single output from his bass. I saw him back in the mid 70's on the Relayer tour and he was using Marshall amps. He seemed to have a number of different speaker cabs, large and small, but not really sure what they were.
18. Very, very nice. A tort 'guard would look great
19. I'm sure that back in '94 Warwick's came with a gig bag with Warwick embossed on it. I'm not a fan of the Rockcases (well the flightcase look alike ones) - the one I had was heavy and tended to warp along the sides when being carried allowing the elements in.
20. Welcome aboard...lot's of basses out there to choose from.
21. Welcome Gary. Have you tried the Rickresource forum in your search for a case? http://www.rickresource.com/
