  1. I totally agree about Nick’s sound, I think it’s a Spector?
  2. I like him, he comes across as a really nice guy. I personally know people who know him in real life, and he is as he appears online.
  3. That’s a very good suggestion. I find writing anything out is good for remembering and understanding it, not just music. I think it’s because your brain is having to process the information as you write.
  4. It can be good to look at the part first, don’t even pick up your instrument. Study it, see how it’s constructed, how it’s based. Is it just root/fifth?Is it triads? Blues scale. That kind of thing. What key is it in? What are the chords? Look for repetition. If it’s a repeating four bar phrase, then that’s actually only four bars you need to learn, you just need to remember how many times it repeats.
  5. The number of racist things I’ve seen and reported on Facebook, only for them to reply that it doesn’t break their code of practice. Then he criticises Trump and gets banned, it’s stupid. He’s not alone though, I’ve seen a lot of people getting banned for similar things.
  6. I’ve never heard of him, I’ve quite liked some of what’s being shared by people on Facebook.
  7. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/audioshare/id543859300
  8. Try downloading AudioShare from the App Store. You can record straight into that, see if you have the same problem?
  9. You haven’t updated any software recently?
  10. Sounds like you’re using too much cpu. Are you using a lot of plugins? You can freeze tracks that you’ve already recorded, that converts them to audio clips and removes the plugins, it reduces cpu usage.
  11. It uses the latency, even adding more. It works by delaying what you’re hearing. I used it last week with some stuff from uni, and again yesterday, a friend of mine used it last week with his jazz trio too. It’s good.
  12. Reaper is a DAW. https://www.reaper.fm
  13. Try NinJam, it comes with reaper and works well.
  14. There’s a few places have the model, maybe pick one and ask if they have or can get that colour?
  15. NinJam in Reaper maybe?
  16. Have you spoken to the guy at Bright onion pedals? He might be able to build one to your specifications.

  18. My friend used it last week for a jam with his jazz trio. He said it worked really well. They’re all apparently much of a muchness with regard to setup, once it’s setup though, that’s it, you don’t have to keep setting it up each time you use it.
  19. Email Mark at Bass Direct. He got me some for my 33” W&T.
  20. Fabulous. I really like him, superb playing. I have no idea who he’s talking about though. I thought Phil Collins sounded pretty good there.
  21. My favourite food group.
  22. My friend used it to jam with a jazz trio, and was quite pleased with the results. It does take a bit of setting up, but I think they all do.
  23. I’m with you on that, and your previous post too.
  24. NinJam apparently works really well. It’s part of Reaper.
  25. He has fabulous technique.
