1.
I bought an 250 SMX about a month ago on BC out of curiosity, have since done 8 gigs with it and am absolutely in awe.. It's ridiculously loud, has every conceivable feature you could want, and is compact and not at all heavy. I love it. How is it SOO much louder than amps with three or four times the power? Witchcraft I imagine.
I've also just bought a 250 SMX. My first amp was a series 6 in the 1990s, and I then had a 300 SMX in the 2000s, both great amps. I've been toying with the idea of returning to TE gear for several weeks, so when one came up for sale local to me I felt compelled to buy it I took it to practice last night and am very happy on initial impressions, it sounds great and as mentioned above it's incredibly loud (I only had the master volume on 2).
 2. I sold some Spirocore Weich strings to Marco. Payment was prompt and communication was very good throughout, smooth transaction.
 3. I have restrung my double bass with a Silver Slaps so these are now surplus to requirements. They came with my bass when I bought it from new a couple of years ago, but I have not really taken properly to the double bass (yet), so they have only had very light use in that time. My bass has been kept at my house all that time and has not been used at any practices or gigs, I just pick it up now and again for a play so I guess these have had a maximum of 8-10 hours use in total. There is some slight fraying/fluffing of the silks which I have tried to show in the pictures, mainly on the D & G Strings, but overall the strings are in excellent condition. I do not have the original box or individual sleeves as the strings were already fitted when I received my bass, however I can ship them in the Silver Slap box/sleeves. price includes recorded shipping within the UK, if you have any questions please contact me. 4. Price Drop to £210 For sale is my AKG Solidtube Condenser microphone. I have owned this from new and it was used for studio recording only. It's a great sounding microphone with a lovely warm sound, however I do not currently have a recording setup therefore it is now surplus to requirements. The following items are included in the sale: AKG Solidtube condenser microphone Original AKG case Power Supply Unit with mains lead 6-pin XLR connecting cable Shock mount Original foam pop shield Flexible goose-neck pop shield with mic stand mounting bracket The case is not pristine and has a few marks as you can see in the photographs, but it is fully functional. The microphone itself is in excellent condition with no marks or scratches on it. The original foam pop shield shows some signs of wear but nothing major, and there are no tears and it is fully functional. I have also included an additional pop shield with goose-neck that can be attached to a mic stand, which is the type of pop shield I used with the microphone in the past as I preferred this to the original foam shield. Product Description from the AKG website:

Vacuum tube large-diaphragm microphone;
cardioid polar pattern for multiplicity of applications; exceptionally natural, warm sound;
tube sound enriches digital recordings; complete with many useful accessories and aluminum carrying case.
The AKG SolidTube, the flagship of the Project Studio Line, is the first microphone that combines the sound of classic vacuum tube technology and the benefits of advanced solid state componentry at an affordable price. Mechanical ruggedness, high SPL capability, and low self noise are as natural SolidTube features as its warm tube sound. The heart of the SolidTube is the ECC 83 (12AX7) vacuum tube. It provides excellent transfer characteristics and is readily available from musical instrument dealers carrying spare parts for guitar amps. A ground lift switch on the power supply eliminates unexpected ground loops quickly and easily. Standard accessories include a spider type shock mount, pop screen, power supply, cable, and strong carrying case. Tube microphones are very popular for their warm sound. The SolidTube emphasizes even harmonics and adds low-level distortion that the ear perceives as an enhancement to the sound. I will post the item within the UK, or alternatively it can be collected from Melton Mowbray. If you have any questions at all please contact me. 5. For sale is my Aguilar GS112 cab. This is the version with a tweeter and it comes with a Roqsolid cover. The manufacturer specs are as follows: One 12" cast frame woofer, 56 oz. magnet Phenolic tweeter with integral phase plug Custom crossover with variable tweeter control One Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4" inputs Spring- Loaded Handle, Locking Corners 7 ply, void-free Philippine Mahogany Power Handling: 300 watts RMS Frequency Response: 42 Hz - 16 kHz Sensitivity: 95 dB 1W 1M Impedance: 8 ohms Dimensions: 14" H, 19" W, 18" D Weight: 42 lbs The carpet covering is a bit bobbly in a couple of places, but nothing major and there are no tears, and as you can see in the photos it is in very good condition overall. It is a very nice sounding cab, I have used it for both electric and double bass and it sounds great for both. I'm ideally looking for a straight sale, but would consider trades also. I'm not after anything specific but if you have any trade proposals please get in touch. I am based in Melton Mowbray and I'm advertising it as pick up only, however I could potentially drive within 20 miles for delivery or meet up if that helps. Please contact me if this an option you would like to discuss. 6. I can't comment on Bergantino as I've never played or heard one. I do however own a Barefaced Big Baby 2 and it's a fantastic cab.

 9. I've just bought a Violin bass from Steve. It was a very smooth transaction, and the bass is in fantastic condition. Everything that has been said on this feedback forum is spot on, Steve's communication throughout was excellent, all emails were promptly replied to and he's a genuinely nice guy. Many thanks again.
 10. I would also recommend Barefaced, I recently bought a Big Baby 2 and it's a very nice match for my OTB.
