1. Another heads up for SGC Nanyo bass collection. Mine is the SB110 series Active pickups. Gotoh hardware. Light as a feather and lovely slim, fast neck. Bought for about £150 from memory. Bloody lot of bass for the money and gives my USA Fender Jazz a run for it's money. I think these where about £400+ when new. She is my always in the stand go to bass.
  2. Get these installed. Sims Led's I don't give a shiny sh*te if they look poncey I have had nothing but admiring comments when people see them. Getting the Jaydee done this year. Bright blue front and side. Bring it on
  3.
Take off the control cavity cover and spray wd40 over the circuit board and under it where the switches and rotaries are.
WD 40 !!! would switch cleaner not be better ???
  4.
No. You set the input level just below the point at which the input clips when you play at your loudest (does your amp have an input clip light?) and then use the output volume to set the overall volume of the amp.
The amp doesn't have a clip light it has a vu meter which to be honest is not that accurate.
  5. I Have an Ashdown ABM evoII 500 head. I have always been under the impression that you have to have your output level control (Post)cranked up higher that your input level control (Pre) to drive the internal power amp. I normally set my input/pre control at 9 o'clock and my output/post control at 12 o'clock. But recently I was watching a dvd of Graham Gouldman (10cc) using the exact same head. He had his input level set at 3 o'clock and his output level set at 9 o'clock would this not damage the amp ???
  6. Hello. Can I just point out that this is a 300w cab and not 500w as stated in your heading. I had the exact same cab up until recently. It says on the back ABM-115-500 but it is 300w they did two the ABM-115-300 94db and the ABM-115-500 98db but both are 300w. I have a catalogue from when these were made and the spec is : 300w continuous 600w programme. 8ohms 98db.
  7. Iuean bought a Hercules guitar stand from me. Transaction couldn't have gone any smoother. He transfered the cash straight into my account minutes after I had emailed him my details. Great bloke to deal with. Cheers.
  8.
Hi Up for sale is a lovely 1992 Fender USA Jazz Longhorn. This has the extra couple of frets and an extended upper horn. The neck has a rosewood fretboard and is a joy to play and the sound is what you'd expect from a USA jazz. All the tones are there. Just fab. In a previous life it has had a ding on the top of the upper horn and been cleaned up.This is not visible from the front. See my crappy picture. It comes with the original Fender hard case with case candy. Still solid but showing a few rust spots on the locks. £600 Would prefer to meet up with buyer but willing to post for £25. May be interested in a trade for a Fender USA Precision. Wow I've only just found out this week that these are quite rare. Long horn and an 8 hole scratchplate. I thought that all jazz basses had the same body shape until I posted pics of mine on Facebook under the Jaydee page. Doctor of the bass pointed it out. I wondered why I had difficulty obtaining a tort scratchplate for it a few years ago. I have the exact same bass in black 1994. You must be mad selling it. I would never part with mine it's the dogs danglies. Anyway if you must part with it.... GOOD Luck with the sale I don't think it will be hanging around for too long.
  9.
Yes. Don't switch the switch whilst frying bacon or other products...! Much love x
Not very helpfull Nick

  11. Whilst I have your attention on the Jaydee. Do any of you Jaydee owners have the problem of when the active switch is on you hear a crackling noise similar to bacon frying.? If so what is it and can it be cured? It seems to improve when you back off the hi eq control.
  12.
It may be corrosion inside the switch...If that is true, then the switch either needs to be cleaned or replaced... Ian!!! Always good to see ya Mate!
Thanks Jaymi. I think you could be right. It hasn't seen much use over the years so that could be the problem. Cheers. Ian.
  13.
Hi Jaymi. How you doin'.? Yes the very same and yes she is awesome. Not a mark on her. Can't believe It's 26 or more years old Looks like it was made last week.I'm frightened to take it on gigs in case it gets dinged. Gonna have to send it to John and have the pickup selector switch sorted. When you rotate it to the on position Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it doesn't. You have to quickly turn it off then on again to get it to work. Oh and when in active mode it sounds like sombody is frying food. Do any of yours have or have had this problem?? Cheers. Ian.
Have any other Jaydee owners had the above problem ???
  14.
is that the "Martin Bell" bass? It looks awesome!
Hi Jaymi. How you doin'.? Yes the very same and yes she is awesome. 16. Hi John. Where did you get that RED Status strap from? I couldn't see one on the Status website. Only Gold.....?? It's the one Mark King uses isn't it? Cheers Ian.
  17. I'm having the same problem. Searched the net for an 8 hole pickguard but no joy. I bought a tort 8 hole off e bay some time ago but I think I was just lucky. Don't want to shell out a load of dosh to have one made. I want a red one.
  18. WOW. That is gorgeous. Wouldn't guess this is 12 years old. Just out of interest, What is the string spacing at the nut? Cheers.

If you send him a trace of your existing one he will copy it Just make sure how many holes there are as some are ten and some are eight or even nine like my USA Jazz 9 holes.
