4.
I've got a couple of these basses, both second-hand, and I think they're pretty good as they come: light weight, nice neck, well-balanced. Hardware isn't the best, but it's not crap either. As I've said on other threads, I had one of these and a Fender Aerodyne Jazz for a while, and I honestly couldn't say either sounded better than the other - except that the Peavey hummed less when recording, so in the end I sold the Fender and bought another Peavey (I like to have 2 basses so I can keep one in each location I regularly play). I paid about £50 each for mine, second-hand, including gigbags. At £35 you really can't go far wrong. I'd say, buy it and live with it for a while as is - it may surprise you. Just my 2p's worth.
I have Just purchased a Peavey Milestone iv for £30 off e bay. I have tuned it B E A D and I use it instead of my Five stringer as I dont get on too well with the wide neck associated with a five string bass. I have set it up with the action as low as it will go and put the b e a d strings on from a new five string set. It sounds cool and comfortable to play.
 5.
You aren't going to sell a 10k bass without pics.
I doubt anyone has a spare £10.000 in their purses in the present climate If they have I don't think it would be spent on a bass guitar pics or no pics.
 6.
the chances of buying one of these that hasnt been set up is very unlikley to be as good as yours, according to perfectly good guitars, he does alot and has excellent feedback
PM sent.
 7.
Are there any more on sale?
Just have to keep your eyes open on E bay. Or try the Distributor someone else mentioned on this forum.
 8.
That's a J&D Brothers, right? They're chinese made - distributed (for what that's worth) by PROEL over here.... Looks real neat for what you paid for it....
It is indeed a J & D brothers bass and I think It is made in China although it doesn't say anywhere on the bass where it is made. The action is comparable with basses that cost 5x as much cash and it sounds superb through an amp. It also has a real wood body( Alder ) Anyone who fancies a dable on a 5 stringer and doesn't want to part with a load of hard earned readies then I would recommend this bass any day. I also play A Status S2 Classic and a Usa Fender Jazz so this fiver has a lot to live up to.
 9.
Can someone post a link to something official about this proposal? I've never heard of it I work quite closely with licensing authorities. I'm a little suspicious.
If you sign the petition you will get an e mail from the government website confirming that you have signed. Go on, we all need to pass this on to all people who might be effected by this proposal. Not Just musos but people who enjoy live music and come and watch us play!!!
 10. Just bought this off E bay. £110. What a guitar for the money It has been set up by a guy called Perfectly good guitars in Manchester. The quality for a Jap instrument is superb. Super low action, no dead spots nice chunky Badass style solid bridge and solid alder body with maple neck. It plays as good as my USA Fender Jazz.
 11. Mag 2x10"+ tweeter 250 watts, 8 ohms. I bought this cab to use as an add on for my Ashdown mag 200watt 1x15" combo for practise use only. But I sold the combo and bought an Ashdown 500w 2x10" combo instead so this cab never got used. so here it is as i bought it 12 months ago. IT IS AS NEW!!! As you can see from the photos it is the black carpet covered rear ported with blue line speakers cab. Postage would be at a guess £20 to £25. going on the weight and parcelforce price guide. Could deliver within a reasonable distance. I am giving it away at £100. Come on save yourself sixty quid. This is an ideal way to get the full wattage out of any combo or amp rated at minimum load 4ohms. EG. My ashdown Mag combo was rated at 200w into its own 15" 8 ohm speaker or 400watts by adding another 8ohm speaker. 2X8 ohms speakers together lower the impedance down to 4 0hms thus giving the full 400watts out of the amp.
 12. 2x10" 250watt 8ohm. blueline speakers+ horn. Rear ported. speakon and Standard jack socket. This cab is as new cost £160. only used as extension cab to mag 200w 1x15" combo. Home use only Any trial welcome. giving it away at £100. I'm in Northwich Cheshire. Could deliver within Cheshire area. Or could despatch via parcelforce 48. but would cost in region of £20 to £25 ish.
 13. Fender usa Jazz bass with sims custom red led's front and side. Badass III bridge. Status Graphite s2 classic through neck Alder wings with swamp ash centre block. Aquamarine blue. Black hardware.
 14.
I (and other band members) have had somewhat questionable experiences with GEE in Liverpool. Although there's no doubt that John Gee himself is profoundly knowledgeable in his field (a quick chat with him will teach you more about the physics of cab design than any book ever will), i've found there to be issues with the quality of their repair work on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, there's nobody else around here really, so we're kind of stuck with him!
I can Highly recommend David Lunt of Stockport I took a Peavey amp to him before X.mas to repair and he sorted it no problem If he can he likes to do it while you wait which saves you putting loads of miles on your vehicle. He only charged me £30. He's a nice guy too. His number is 0161 432 9698.
 15.
What would postage be on this? I bought the 4X10 version of this a few months ago and it cost £30 to send it.
Hi Jono. I'm guessing about £20 ish depending on postcode. The weight stated in the Asdown brochure is 19kg
 16. As you can see from the pics this cab is brand new. home use only Only selling because i am scaling my gear down. Not enough room in my vehicle It's not even 12 months old. Only used with my mag 200w 1x15" combo (now sold) as an extension cab. 2x10" blueline speakers with horn 250 trouser flapping watts, 8 ohms Speakon and standard jack sockets. £100 collected or posted at postage cost to be arranged.
 17. Just had a Badass III fitted to my USA fender jazz (brand new off e bay usa seller £42) It has the three screw holes and Quan claim it will bolt straight on using the existing holes This was not the case with my bass the holes didn't line up with the existing ones. And some drilling had to be done. I got a professional guitar luthier to do the job At a cost of £30. (inc full set up) The sound is much improved and you can really get some sustain out of it that wasn't there before.
 18. I have owned an Ashdown Abm 4x10" 575w combo together with an Abm 1x15" cab since 2000 The sound is awsome and there are so many different sounds to be had out of it. I recently bought a s/h mag 200 1x15" combo and a mag 2x10" extension cab to go with it just for rehearsal purposes and to be honest it just didn't have the Guts that the Abm range has. I have just sold the mag combo and bought a s/h Abm 2x10" 575w combo and the sound out of those two tens is the dogs hanging thingys. So if you can stretch to getting the Ashdown Abm range i'm sure you won't regret it. There's plenty of good secondhand stuff to be had. Good luck.

It is not even 12 months old it has never been out of the house. 250watts 8ohm 2 x 10" speakers with horn. Cost me £160. will sell for £100. LOOK AT THE PICS, IT'S BRAND NEW!!!!! It's on e bay at the moment. could post but will be £25 to £30
