1. Hi I need a new head and I'm getting so confused about which way to go with it all. I currently use a HArtke HA5000 and SWR Mk11 210 cab playing covers from pop - funk through to classic rock so a wide range. Trouble is I dont believe that amps in the showroom at reasonable volumes sound the same as whenthey are cranked trying to out-gun our VERY loud drummer.... I dont have may mates who play bass who will lend me thier rigs to try and the only local guitar shops that know me well enough to lend me something have virtually no bass amps at all. Personal review such as on this great site are a real help but styles and tastes vary so much between people and trying to describe the sound and texture of a bass amp is virtually impossible. I do go watch a lot of local bands, the best sound I've heard so far is EBS HD350 - never seen anyone with eden, mark bass, EA, mesa boogie etc, it seems like this area is over run with some pretty average Peavey rigs. I liked the EBS because the notes were crystal clear so you could pickout the cleaver runs etc but it still had loads of warmth and bass. A pro guitarist mate of mine really rates line 6 guitar amps and has recorded 3 albums in very different styles with just one amp and he gets real tone out of it. Does real tone come from the amp or from your fingers....??? I can't afford an ebs (£400 budget) so where do I go, has anyone tried the bigger line 6 bass amps? does the modeling work as well asthe guitar version? if so they cant be too bad???? even though they might not be as fasionable as mark bass - but then I've never been one for lables. Unless someone has an EBS HD350 for less than £400 any other comments/suggestions bloddy confused
2. Just what I'm looking for. Would you sell for cash? Ta Nugget
3. We're getting together a top flight modern country and western band for festivals, country clubs etc big gigs only no local pubs. The country scene has huge potential for good quality gigs for the right band. We've got an ex-pro country female singer from America who is VERY good (not many UK country bands have american singers!) very experienced drummer and one guitarist looking for a bass player The band is going to be quite seriously committed to getting bigger and better gigs but we all must have fun together so no egotistical tossers. Practices based around Worcester or surrounding areas If interested please email me at [email protected] Thanks Dave

8.
Bump £425 for the amp, need to keep the case. Afraid I won't be shipping It due to a recent shipping disaster putting me off! Near to Glasgow If anyone wants to try It out.
Very Interested, do you ever head south? I live in Worcester (Midlands) so it's a long drive.. Also is it 450 watts - is that not enough? we play small clubs big pubs with a LOUD drummer (not through PA) Ta Dave
9. bump (couldn't think of anything interesting to say....I hate mondays)
10. Thanks BassBunny - BassBunny passed the bass on to me at an exceptional price for such a stunning bass, far less than i think its 'worth' which is why I'm nottrying to sell it, just px it. I really appreciate that BB!! The sound is one of the best I've ever heard (probably THE best) - it's so clear which allows me to wind up the bass eq up on the amp and get a lovely deep tone but still massively clear and cutting tone. I've only gigged it about 10 times but I get so many comments from other bass players and guitarists about the clarrity and depth of the sound. I just can't adjust to the narrow spacing on some of the faster more complicated songs we play so I'm looking for something in exchange thats going to sound great but I don't really care what the value of the replacement bass is and hence dont care (or more importantly know) what the value of the LAG is. I'm open to any offer from cheap bases with upgraded electronics to higher end jazz basses. As this is such an unusual bass it's hard to put a 'value' on it, the sound, build quality and materials used certainly make it equivalent value to the higher end jasses plus you've got the "wow never seen one of those before" factors.... Already had a couple of good offers but nothing that really floats my boat. Can delivery as I travel about a bit. Thanks all Nugget
11. Hi - could add some cash to the bass for the right trade...anyone interested??
12.
Lovely bass - love the colour/finish & I like narrow-spaced 5's. What value are you putting on it, Nugget? Geoff
Hi Geoff, It's my only bass and I gig most weeks so I was hoping to swap it so I wouldn't be without a bass and non of my local music shops stock any decent 5 strings! As for value, I'm not sure, don't see many around to gauge it. the build quality and finish is second to none and sounds amazing - open to offers I guess somewhere in the region I can pick up something else reasonable from here Vauge Nugget
13. Gorgeous 5 string LAG bass from late 80’s, French hand made – NOT the later Jap version. Near mint, couple of very small marks. Active single coil EMGs. VERY clear precise sound with great tone, two volumes and one tone control. Narrow string spacing will suit those with smaller hands or changing from 4 string, I’ve always played a very wide neck 5 string and find it a little too narrow. more pictures available
14. ohhh....I wont be happy if anyone buys this before next week! I've got some cash comming my way as soon as the tosser from ebay pays up - I'll be knocking down your door to give you the money!!! Love it !!

19. Hey Thanks for all the messages - the 210 is sold - STILL LEFT Hartke 115 tp £50 collected
20. Yes its a pair of Emininence basslite drivers fitted in what was orginally a Hartke 210 box (matches the basslites perfectly for volume) and fitted with 2 front bass ports as required by the speakers (original box was sealed) Basslites have only done about 10-15 gigs so still very new and definitely not abused Cheers Nugget
