Thanks Tim. That was fascinating, a real slice of 1950's life style.

Well due to the under use of the Ashdown Little Bastard I have finally decided to put it up for sale. It has up graded power valves from Watford Valves and comes boxed in wonderful condition, it has only been used in my house and never gigged. I will let this Little Bastard go for £320 posted or £300 collected from Maidenhead (work) or Sandhurst (home).

This is one of two CLX110 that I have sold here on Basschat. Both speaker cabs were purchased by two individuals who arranged thier own courier as I am fed up with things getting damaged in transit. The speakers were bought by me from a fellow basschatter only 2 months ago and I have only used them for home rehearsal. The drive units and cabs were in fantastic working order when I used them. One arrived save with the new owner and I believe he has not had a problem with his. This second one was packaged well by me and picked up by a UPS driver. It looks like it was thrown arround in transit and something has caused the driver to fail. Unfortunately lemmywinks only insured it for £50. He bought it from me for £175. It is coming to the stage that I have totally fed up with f**king couriers damaging items. In the last year I have had this and two other items trashed by the postage system. I am comming to the conclusion that pickup only is the way to go or I will stop selling completely. I really am sorry Lemmywinks that you are having problems.

Recomendations of a Quality 6 String up to £ 1500
voxpop replied to Chris Horton's topic in Bass Guitars
Walbassist has my old Burner 6 for sale..........this is a lot of bass for £900. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1027742 -
The Burner is about 85% of the sound for around 25% of the cost. A true 'bargain' compared to the USA offerings. My old Burner 6 is back up for sale from the new owner for £900, this is a real bargain.

Thanks guys...........this is the only bass that has completely halted my bass buying GAS. Truly awesome piece of kit.................The very best build quality and sound.

How about my new BT6.......... Only 2 weeks old.....

I use this ...... http://www.reussenzehn.de/roehrenverstaerk...48&Grp_id=6 Its the weirdest thing I've ever had the pleasure to use, pure valve tone with a very creamy overdrive. It has a volume knob that ONLY controls the boost to the valve. This can give a huge gain in volume or simply a little nudge for solos. I found at around half way you get the same volume as when the effect is off, turn it down and you can lower the volume and have a valve warmth or turn it the over way to 10 for full on overdrive distortion. On the side is a Boost 1-4 switch, this takes away the bass frequencies so you can go from a warm Motown tone (4) thru to a treble bite that will take your hair off (1). This boost switch at first had me stumped as to why I would want to remove the bass frequencies. The solution is to put it in an effects loop or blender pedal so only the mid - top is overdriven and the bass frequencies are kept clean. Clarity and dirt all at the same time....genius. In short is quite an amazing product if you want to have some valve goodness, small boost in volume or a huge jump in gain and tone. Hope this helps.
Just to say I got the other cab by courier ( sorted by myself which was only £8.99 + vat ) Gigged with it last night along with a lightweight 1x15 and an Eden WTX-260 and the sound was excellent - would definitely recommend this cab.
Which Courier did you use? I could only get quotes of £40 from Parcel Force.

Amazing isn't it. I've just imported one two weeks ago because no one in Europe had them and now Mark has them 90 min. drive from my bloody house.

What cabs do people use with their Orange Terror Bass Head?
voxpop replied to Cat Burrito's topic in Amps and Cabs
Hi Tim, How about one or both of my small, punchy and clean EA CLX110 cabs??? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=110232&hl= Marc -

Hi Andy, Looks like we are all selling our Burners... I've just compared my new USA BT6 with the Burner and there is not allot between them. They sound so alike its rather scary when you consider the price difference is over £3000. It really does make the Burner series a very good buy. Good luck with the sale ............ these are really great basses.

£600 plus your crafter would do it.

This small 10 inch cabs with coax compression driver tweeter sounds just like a studio monitor, clean tight and very focused. The size is 13.5"H x 14.75"W x 12.5"D It is rated 350w, 8 ohms. It weighs 34lbs . 44Hz to 14KHz. 103dB. Jack and Speakon connectors. I would like £175 collected. Thanks.
