  1. A good few years back I tried dozens of wah pedals and ended up settling on this one. I've had it for years and still can't find anything better. It's so tweakable and versatile and easy to use. Fabulous product.
  2. @tonyxtiger I'll have one. Perfect birthday prezzie for myself. I've been trying to mess about with guitar amp and bass amp rigs so this will make it easy. Good enough for dUg, more than adequate for me
  3. Yes. PM if interested. sorry for delay in responding, been off grid
  4. Thanks really! I've got a set unopened that are there as spares... Hmmm
  5. What approx figures would you expect? The valves are JJs.
  6. Best Passive Rock Bass Ever. I have two.
  7. Yep - the one in my Avatar. Finest passive rock bass ever. Bought it new in 2010 and it's on my lap as I type this.
  8. My 4xKT88 MJW is 253w clean and 544w fully clipped. If you multiply that by 1.5 for 6xKT88 (not strictly accurate or scientific but a guide nonetheless) you get 375+ clean and 800+ fully clipped. It would be interesting to know what the big 8xKT88 amps are on the scope. If anyone wants to come and measure my Laney, please let me know.
  9. That bridge is the same as the Schecter one.
  10. Here's the Schecter 8 in a band setting at a jam this week. Drums, bass, loud guitar, vocal. Roughly recorded on a Zoom H2n and then a few tweaks. It's as rough as you like but gives an idea. Not as high in the mix as I'd like but...
  11. http://www.reevesamps.com/amplifiers/reeves-custom-400-bass-amp/ Interesting that it's a 6xKT88 400w amp. Most 400 watters are 8xKT88. And now we're into manufacturers' power claims
  12. Check out this fella...
  13. It's the Studio version - I picked it up at an amazing price and it was in stock in the UK. Always fancied one. The Nords are EMG sized and the Clean and Clear versions of the Big Blades. I would rate them as highly as the G&L MFDs and the Yamaha BB2024x pickups. Very different but as good and with buckets of their own personality.
  14. I swapped the EMGs out and bought the Nords in the USA. I have the Schecter pictured above, it's the Stiletto Studio 8. I love a neck-thru.
  15. Here's the EMGs And here's the Nordy Blades Recorded into Logic Pro X and both tracks have exactly the same settings. Please excuse the quality of the noodling
  16. This is the Schecter with the Big Blades.
  17. Yes. In 30+ years of swapping out pickups these are the best I've tried. The difference is massive. I'm a big fan of these blades and am considering put a set of P and J blades in my Valenti.
  18. Here’s my Schecter. It has Nordstrand Big Blades in it. Amazing upgrade over the passive EMGs that are stock. I don't think I'd ever played a Korean-made Schecter before this but would highly recommend, it's a very good instrument. I should have some tracks that I can post for you to listen to.
  19. I’m up for this. Looks as if I’m available that day. I shall bring a car load of gear including: MJW Taranis 200 all-valve UK built amp Various Gen 3 Barefaced cabs Laney Nexus Tube 400 Mesa 400+ and some of my basses. In all my days of Basschat, Bassworld and what ever we had before, I have never yet been to a Bass Bash so have little idea of what to expect.
  20. If anyone wants to try out the only MJW Taranis 200 in existence, you’re welcome. I’m in Gloucester but you’d have to book a rehearsal room to hear it properly.
  21. This is a stunning 1994 Yamaha acoustic. Rosewood back and sides, solid spruce top, amazing craftsmanship details as seen in pics. And it sounds beautiful. It's in superb condition. I've owned it from new, still have all the tags etc. and the minimal fret wear shows how little it's been played in 23+ years. No damage apart from a couple of very small dings on the back of the headstock (pictured) and one or two very minor knocks on the body (I can't even get them to show up on a photo). Comes with the very nice Hiscox hardcase shown in the pics.

    Feedback for Spark

Spark bought a pedal from me. Great comms. Nice and easy to deal with and highly recommended. Another Basschat winner.
