  1. Currently broadcasting a Live Chat and discussing Chris, his bass playing and the world of bass generally. Feel free to come and join in!
  2. Yep, the black one. He still had that when we did the London Bass Show interview in 2018. Building an idea for a new video...
  3. That was his bass of choice for quite a while.
  4. It was a Mexican.... One of my favourite live albums... an outstanding bass performance too! https://youtube.com/shorts/UWCFP3DMP-o?si=x6ZRBmq0_7SFK9ss
  5. Hey Steve! Yes, your cabs will be along shortly... Thanks for checking in to the channel, much appreciated!
  6. That was probably Terraplane back then. Thunder are quite a different proposition! Enjoy the listening and thanks for the kind words. Cheers!
  7. Blimey! Thank you, Sean, glad the content is working for you. I'll keep at it! Mike
  8. They were excellent pickups, looking forward to having some basses for reviews and demos very soon. I can also recommend the Aguilar 4P-60 which I have installed in a Fender Mex Standard P which I use on Queen tribute shows, voiced quite differently to the Monty's pickups but just a different flavour - different pickups work well in different basses, there is no 'one size fits all' solution with pickups.
  9. Glad to be of service!
  10. I don't need that sort of negativity in my life........
  11. Someone just sent me this link via my YouTube channel of this Herb Alpert performance from 1996 with John Pena playing a 5-String T-Bass..... not too shabby!
  12. Sadly at the mercy of the phone reception at the time...it was a Live Chat broadcast, not a long form video for editing.
  13. Here you go, sir.... https://youtube.com/live/ecqUO5LDXTQ?feature=share
  14. I tried to broadcast a Live Chat on the fly but the phone reception proved problematic (hence why the visuals look like an outtake from Minecraft!)...but you get the idea and vibe! https://youtube.com/live/ecqUO5LDXTQ?feature=share
  15. Cheers Nik! - and everyone else who came and said 'hi'! Fab to meet so many of you who I've known of and spoken to on here over the past 18 years. Well done to all the organisers, it felt like a smaller intimate version of The London Bass Show.... highlighted by the fact there wasn't enough time to speak to everyone. A very cool hang.... well done, folks!
  16. Folks, I've just messaged Rich (@Rich), as he originally invited me back in July. Had a look in the diary and it looks like I can make this! Happy days! Would a chat/presentation/Q&A (in the loosest of terms!) still be of interest to you fine folks? If so, I'll stick it in the diary. Mike
  17. Who wrote the script... 'comfortability'...? It's not even a word. Come on, marketing department at Korg.... that's just Buzzword Bingo.
  18. Bought a G&L L2000 bass from Mike today and the whole transaction from first enquiry and message to arriving home with the bass couldn't have gone any smoother. A great guy to deal with, the bass was exactly as described with all the case candy... and he makes a great cup of coffee too! If you're buying anything from Mike, then you're in safe hands. Many thanks Mike. All the best!
  19. Cheers Mike, Likewise! A pleasure to meet you, thank you for bearing with me on the arrival time on the journey from London to the Wirral. The bass was totally as described and has clearly been looked after... and I was stunned with all the case candy and extras all in place. And he makes a fab cup of coffee! If you're buying anything from Mike, you're in good hands. All the best!
  20. Had Lodestone basses in my collection since 2012, had 5 at one point. I think I may have done the first UK review back in 2010 when they were released. Mark Gooday borrowed my original T-Bass to send to the Czech Republic to take specs, etc. Got bass reviews and demos on my YT channel and actually set one up on a Live Chat on Friday before taking it to gigs over the past two nights. If I can help, let me know. Mike
  21. For anyone in or around London, wanting to attend the Nick Smith Memorial Show in Peterborough tomorrow, I have room in the car and will be leaving from Uxbridge/Hillingdon/West Ruislip around 10.30am. Message me if you want to be my co-pilot!
  22. A set of Fret Guards (Music Nomad) and a set of fret erasers. A tin of Nevr Dull for super-shiny frets.
